I just got out of surgery about a week ago.  I had one of my famous black-outs.  The only difference is that this time, there was some damage along with it.  I passed out in the smoke pit on the ship while we were underway and cracked my face on the railing on my way down apparently.  Anyway, because of that, four of my teeth were knocked out of place and my lip was busted open.  I was sent to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) for the surgery.  They reset my jaw which was painful in itself.  For about two weeks there I was limited to a liquid diet.  That was all fun and games as well considering that I had one of three options: water, beef broth, or chicken broth.  That turned my stomach for a while.  When they reset my jaw, they placed in temporary braces.  So right now, my mouth has some wire in it to hold my teeth in place until they heal properly.  All things considered, it could have been a lot worse.
