Now let me begin by saying that these are two very different tasks. The first piece is finding those with the passions that make up a quality leader, so we have a strong core. In the second, we need to build a group where everyone knows, and understands everyone. To work High magick, you must know the other people without a doubt or a hesitation. This group must be working at the desired levels before we start our second process.

First off, my name is Joel and I have had different versions of my group since late 1994. I always wanted to do something above and beyond the "norm" and decided to do so. My group is a never ending variety of ideas.

I had my start with the Ouija, which, I learned by accident awhile back. Maybe if you see my story you might think about it.

It was evening, and I had one of my guy friends over at the house with me. This was back in mid 1994...(where it all started for me!).

We couldn't get anyone on the board that night, (I was sitting by my bed, Sonny was by my closet - the board was on the right of me about 1/2 foot... Sonny was on the left of me about 1 1/2 feet.). We were thinking on ways of how to get someone on the board when I looked towards Sonny and on the bureau behind me was a candle holder and a black candle (12" taper)... me and Sonny were talking about it, and the candle smoked, and lit.

I said "Did you just do that?" Sonny said "Of course I didn't do that you moron, I'm over here...." So, we started to argue a bit, and I looked over at the board and it halfway lifted off the rug, and came down (on thick carpet) with a SLAP.

At that moment we got on the board... and there after our Society was created.

Later on I developed a Ouija page that was small, but after I got ideas and started working at my internet job at MCI, I got to update it 8 hours a day. I came up with Ouija Help, and then of course the web site you see here to try and spark interest in my thriving group.

I have had a few different groups over the years. All together there were (through the years, not at one time) somewhere around 150 members. Some left over the years through different reasons. Some are still with us today, cultivating an exciting learning process. We are also continually inviting new members to add their imput to make this a better place.

The group is set up in a unique Government format which mixes Roman, Greece, and US forms. We have the Senate, the House, standard members, and the Triumvirate (from Romes group of three leaders). We also have jobs they do so we can run a smoother group. This is all shown here in our job section.

Now the group still consists of the original Government intents, but that is in the core only. The group consists of standard members and the core. On one hand the core helps develop the group and come up with research topics, on the other the members help by wanting to Research, and wanting to Practice. It's all based on how deep you want to be a part, as it's not necessary to join the core.

Everone should be equal in this mass of people. No one is better than the next man or woman. Respect will be the same because we are all after the same end goal, to study and to learn. We may be on different paths, but it takes the same amount of determination in order to do this.

Now what I wish to say to all of you is, do you have a passion to learn and to practice? It needs to be more than just a curiosity due to the sacrifice required in order to be a functioning core member of our great Society.
