Buffy Summers is the Slayer, one girl chosen in all the world to fight the vampires, demons and the forces of darkness. She is seventeen years old and a junior in high school. She lives in Sunnydale, a small town in southern California. Sunnydale just happens to be located over a Hellmouth, or an opening into Hell. This makes the town a center of mystical convergence, causing strange occurances on a regular basis (in addition to the local vampire population Buffy already faces).
