Spike, whose real name is William the Bloody, got his nickname from torturing his victims with railroad spikes. He was first introduced in the episode "School Hard" when he came to Sunnydale with his wacky paramour, Drusilla. He has two dead Slayers to his credit, and is looking to make it a third. Angel was Spike's sire.
