November 24, 1999 The next single from Warren G's new album will be "Game Don't Wait" which is the 213 reunion song. It will be remixed by Dr. Dre. Speaking of Dr Dre, his album went gold in its first week! He was narrowly beaten out by Korn in soundscan, but he still had an extremely good opening week. The west coast is back! In other west coast news, DJ Quik will be remixing Rage Against The Machine's track, Guerilla Warfare. Look for that in December in MP3 format on this page. Also be looking for the "Next Friday" soundtrack in MP3 format sometime in the next two weeks featuring the new NWA track "Chin Check".

November 22, 1999 Check out this interview Dre did with nme.com! NWA (Niggaz With Attitude) have reunited after splitting in the early 90s. Dr Dre, Ice Cube and MC Ren, with Snoop Dogg standing in for the late Eazy E have recorded at least one new track called 'Chin Check', which will be included on the soundtrack of Ice Cube's new film Next Friday, a sequel to his comedy Friday. A new NWA album should be in the shops this time next year. "We're starting an NWA album,' Dr Dre told nme.com. "We're gonna call the album 'Not these Niggas Again...'." The project has been gestating for some time and was interrupted by Cube's work on the acclaimed Gulf war comedy Three Kings. "Me and Cube go back a long time, and I don't see nothing being able to stop our friendship," he said of the rapper. "It was around summer '82. Me and my mother had a couple of disagreements then, so I went to stay with my aunt for a while, who lived 2 houses away from Cube. I was Djing a lot then, and he came to my ants to dinner. My cousin and Cube were good friends and Cube would come over and rap on the mix tapes. He came through and was like, 'I write rhymes', lets work it out. We met doing music." Dre dismissed suggestions that he was getting NWA together now to try to correct some of the mistakes he made with the group in the past. "I think I've done everything real cool so far. We definitely plan to raise a few eyebrows this time," he said. "We plan to keep it in the NWA tradition: something that's shocking, something that's funny, something's gonna make you move your head. No matter how much critics say they don't like it, they gonna bop to it, straight. We're trying for Christmas 2000 release. It's gonna take 10 months to a year." Dre also said that the new breed of metal/rap crossover bands was instrumental in his decision; he wants to take the new NWA on the road to play rock shows. "Limp Bizkit is my favourite. He knows how to market. I wanna go on tour with those guys. Korn, Limp Bizkit and NWA doing stadiums," he said. "That's the cool thing about hip-hop music. Anyone can get involved in it. It gives me a little more motivation. I wanted to do something like that years ago. Call it ghetto metal. Thought it would be kind of interesting..." The soundtrack album for Next Friday is released on December 13. The film opens in the US in January.

November 16, 1999 It looks like Geocities killed all the accounts with Dre MP3s on them. Sorry for the inconvenience. On a better note, Nabeel Munir requested a track off of the Kurupt album, and he sent me a geocities account, check the MP3 section for that and for a new Snoop song from the Eyez On The Prize soundtrack.

November 16, 1999 Well, since nobody has sent me any geocities accounts, I'm going to assume that nobody wants the Kurupt album. So we'll get back to the news... According to Blaze magazine, Snoop will have only one more album with No Limit - called "Last Meal". He will then sign with Aftermath, which is what all of his fans wanted in the first place. TUPAC SHAKUR's fourth posthumous album 'Still I Rise' is set for release on December 13 through Interscope records. Featuring duets with such diverse names as Faith Evans, Alanis Morrissette, Jewel and Snoop, the release has been delayed because jailed Death Row Records boss Suge Knight is credited on the album and Tupac's mother Afeni has refused to allow this. At lectures in American colleges and universities, Afeni Shakur has called the bail that Death Row posted for Tupac while he was jailed for sexual battery "blood money" and about the fear that Death Row boss Knight instilled in people around him. The album has 15 new tracks - some already recorded but different versions - credited to credited to Tupac & the Outlawz. October 20, 1999 What's going on everybody? Just heard a couple of new songs from Dr. Dre 2001. The first song, Xxplosive is incredibly amazing!!! It uses the same beat as "Way I Be Pimpin", except this time it features, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, and Hitman, with Nate Dogg singing on most of the song. This song is going to blow up! The second song is F*** You, featuring Snoop and Devin. This song didn't appeal to me at first, but like all Dre songs, it grew on me big time! Also, in some news that is a few days old, Kurupt and Daz's bodyguard was killed in a shooting incident in LA. This is, according to Antra and Death Row, not a result of Kurupt's track Calling Out Names.

August 13, 1999 Well, Suge Knights appeal got gunned down again (no pun intended), and it looks like Death Row may be going down with him really soon. They are having troubles getting organized without Suge running the show, and they may be bankrupt by Christmas, despite the success of "Chronic 2000". In better news, check out this album called Escape From Death Row which features some past and current inmates such as Bad Azz, Soopafly, Kurupt, Rbx. Looks like a good compilation. Please try out this great search engine to find more 213 and MP3 related sites. In the mp3 page, Mike has uploaded Snoop & 2Pac's Street Life, and about half of the Smokefest album.
