Buffy:(punches him) Are you trying to get yourself killed? You can't leave me. I can't do this alone.
Giles: ...but I believe I can make life very difficult for you, professionally speaking. And Buffy will be allowed back in.
Principal Snyder: Sorry, I'm not convinced.
Giles:(shoves Snyder against file cabinets)Would you like me to convince you?
Giles:Do you like my mask? Isn't it pretty? It raises the dead! Americans!!
Faith: I've seen 'im. If I'd have know they came that young and cute, I would have requested a transfer.
Buffy: Raise your hand if 'eww'.
Giles:Well, um, leaving aside for a moment my youth and beauty....
Jenny Calendar: Did anyone ever tell you you're kind of a fuddy-duddy?
Giles: Nobody ever seems to tell me anything else.
Jenny: Did anyone ever tell you you're kind of a sexy fuddy-duddy?
Giles: Um, no, that part usually gets left out. I can't imagine why.
Jenny:This weekend.
Giles: Would you like to go out?
Jenny:Mmm, no, I think I'd like to stay in.
(They kiss just as the class bell rings, breaking apart as students fill the hallway)
Giles: This Saturday, then.
Jenny:Saturday night. (She leans in close to him) I'll see if I can make you squirm.
Giles:...a steady stream of fairly odd occurrences. Now, I believe this whole area is a center of mystical energy, that things gravitate towards it that, that, that you might not find elsewhere.
Buffy: Like vampires.
Giles:(stacking books one by one in Buffy's arms, reading off their subjects as he goes) Like zombies, werewolves, incubi, succubi, everything you've ever dreaded was under your bed, but told yourself couldn't be by the light of day. They're all real!
Buffy: What? You, like, sent away for the Time-Life series?
Giles: Ah, w-w-w-yes.
Buffy: Did you get the free phone?
Giles: Um, the calendar.
Buffy: Cool! But...
