Moon Beams
Miles above Heaven, up past the stars,
Where wishes whisper to Angles listening,
The moon floats by, clouds of silver,
Pail, silent and glistening...
On the outskerts of sleep, by the edge of a dream,
In creaps the light of a single moon beam.
He dances on the floor, and up the wall,
Where he sits and listens and watches all.
With the breath of a child, soft and deep,
Comes the smile of one, who's fast asleep.
Lost in a dream, of a place far away,
A world of candy, toys, and games to play.
With puppies to chase in clouds of cotton,
The worries of the day have long been forgotten.
But the night grows short, and it's about time to wake.
The moon beam creaps out, befor day light can brake.
Back with the stars, way up high,
The moon beam waits for a new night's sky.
Night by night, it goes on like this,
The little beam granting every kid's wish.
So tonight in your bed.. befor your off to sleep.
Think of a wish, you would like to keep.
The clouds will part; let the moon shine in,
For that's when the magic of the night begins.
