Which do you think to be more important, duty or self-respect? At the time I believed duty to be the more important. By doing what was said to be my duty I would recieve the respect of others, and would believe that the atrocities that I perpetrated were the right thing to do, acts that needed to be done for the advancement of society. I was so wrong
As I walk through my house there are no mirrors. I had them removed years ago. When I looked into them I no longer saw a man, but a monster. I was a beast, a beast with blood-shot eyes, large, sharp, uncleaned fangs. I could not bear to view my own image reflected. How many times have I thought of taking my own life? About as many times as I took another's life.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about all that I have done, all the people I have killed, all the families that I have destroyed. And why did I do this? I did it in the name of a four-letter word:duty.
