Music Soothes the Savage Soul

I am not quite old enough to remember the Beatles first splash on the music scene but
I do remember my uncles having neat little 45 records (I know some of you are scratching you heads)
that had an apple picture in the middle..one side was the cut apple, the other the skin. I was fascinated.

Here Comes the Sun
All You Need is Love
Hello, Goodbye
Help From My Friends
Hey Jude
Roll Over Beethoven
Imagine
Let it Be
Obladi
Yesterday
Revolution
Birthday
When I'm 64

So I had found the Beatles. Next earliest memory was Nancy Sinatra, only it took
till I grew up to know who sang These Boots are made for Walking.
I would lie back on the floor and spin my little feet making my boots walk.
I loved that song and hence my taste for older music.

Born to be Wild
Wild Thing
Satisfaction
California Dreaming
Time in a Bottle
Brown Eyed Girl
Cats in the Cradle
You've Got a Friend
Good Vibrations
Ipanema
My Guy
When a Man Loves a Woman
Mrs. Robertson
Shoop Shoop
House of the Rising Sun

In competition with older music is my passion for blues, big band, jazz, and the classics.
Then of course there is country which is not an every day listening thing with
me but I have been known to line dance once or twice.

Aint Misbehavin
Blues
Fever
In the Mood
Swing
Maple Leaf Rag
Moonligh Sonota
Brahms
Crazy
Georgia on My Mind
Misty
Whose Bed

This brings us to music I grew up with. From hard rock to soft, the songs
I heard so often on the radio while I was trapped in my room doing
homework still sound the best to me.

Cant Fight this Feeling
Easy Lover

Life in the Fast Lane
Groovy Kind of Love

Bat Out of Hell

Even if I didn't have kids I think I would include these childrens timeless songs.
Nothing can make you feel young again like singing I'm a Little teapot
(with body actions included of course).
