Welcome to the Dragon's Caves
I guess I should start with one of my favorite things and that is Dragons. They are beautiful creatures that have been misunderstood by humans for centuries. Only recently have we begun to respect them for all that they are. Thanks to the World Wide Web we now have access to beautiful art, poems and stories that before now have only been available to a select few.

A Dragon Tale
KNUCKER There is a water dragon who lived in Sussex in England. His home was the Knucker Hole at Lyminster. His home in itself is a place of mystery. A stream leads out from the hole, but as it is fed by an underground stream, no water can be seen entering the hole. Knucker caused many problems in the Lyminster area, carrying off animals and people, and generally being a nuisance. Eventually Knucker was killed, although there are several different versions of the story describing this event.
In one version the King of Sussex offered his daughter in marriage to anyone who would kill the dragon. It was said that a wandering knight battled Knucker, killed him, married the princess, and then settled in Lyminster.
The second version of Knucker's end said that Jim Pulk, a local farmer's boy, outwitted the dragon. He cooked the dragon a poisoned Sussex pie, which the dragon ate, then died. Knucker got his revenge in the end though, because after Jim when off to celebrate he fell down dead. Probably he hadn't washed his hands after baking the poisoned pie.
The third version also has a local man outwitting Knucker, in a similar way. This man is called Jim Puttock, and comes from Wick. In this version it is the Mayor of Arundel offering a reward. Unlike Jim Pulk, Jim Puttock does not die at the end.
On the Chinese Calendar I was born in the year of the Dragon (I was born in 1964) to see what they say about the Dragon sign check it out:
(hey while you are there go to their home page and see what sign you were born under - and see if you agree with it)

Dragons of Fire
Dragons have a cunning and searching gaze. You can NEVER tell if they are watching you or not because they sleep with their eyes open, and they can see with their eyes shut!
A dragon of the west is usually evil, but a northern dragon is meaner. It has a forked tongue and tail, glaring eyes, fearfully flared nostrils, sharp pointed teeth and talons. The body is scaly and covered with armor. The feet are leathery and webbed, like the feet of a duck.
It breathes fire so it is safe to say it likes it's food well done!
This dragon lurks in water or in a cave, and guards a hoard of riches. In ancient times Zeus, the father of all gods, gave the job of protecting gold and other treasures to the dragons. That is why a dream about dragons means wealth will soon be yours.
In other dragon stories, an evil dragon will hold the people of a town captive until they gave it some gold, or a young child to eat. If the town is lucky, a brave knight will come and kill the dragon with his magic sword. This goes to show that something's never change - it is always the bad or negative actions that get remembered the most clearly!
The most famous dragon slayer is St. George of England.
If you want to be a hero, you could get endless courage by eating a dragons heart or drinking it's blood. You can get its keen sight by killing it.
