Song of the moment: Incubus - "Drive"

I WILL bring the word "rad" back to prominence in popular culture.

Ya, ya. So I haven't updated this page since January 30th. May God have mercy on my soul for such an injustice. I've been doing the school thing lately. It sucks to put it plainly. A test last week, three this week, one next week. Yuk. But when I finish this semester, no more school, right?

Well, yesterday there was another school shooting. 2 people dead, 13 injured. All over some kid who was "picked on". Come on guys. EVERYONE is picked on. I was picked on. You aren't any different. Suck it up and go on. Shooting other doesn't make you cooler, doesn't make you right and doesn't get your vengance. It simply ruins the rest of your life and other lives. It even ends some that don't need to end. If you think I'm wrong on this issue, e-mail me anytime at: RhinoOU@hotmail.com.

When I heard about this shooting, I immediately e-mailed my friend Meg B. in San Diego. I didn't know where the shooting was and was slightly worried about her well-being. I'm glad she e-mailed me back quickly, since I hadn't heard from her in a long time.

Continuing on the California theme, my old high school friend Chris C. was on leave from the Marines this past week. We had some good times and got to catch up a bit while he was here. made me almost remember what hanging out with my friends from Yukon was like.

I'm pondering putting up alot of ramblings soon. This includes, but is not limited to: MTV, guns in school, evil women, commercial radio, Napster, selling-out, voting, USA world view, big money to athletes and people who write about these things. Hopefully you got that last part.

New catch phrase of the week: What are YOU doing?

The SuperBowl sucked to put it plainly...but at least the commercials were decent. I went over to Emily H.'s friend's house to watch it. Had fun although the game sucked. It is kind of amazing how people are still so biased against Ray Lewis although he was aquitted of murder charges almost a year ago. Heck, even Disney World passed him over to do their commercial, which is normally reserved for the SuperBowl MVP. It doesn't matter if you're tried and acquitted, you're still considered guilty in this country and that's just not right.

On Saturday, we found out a plane from Oklahoma State crashed, killing all ten on board. Two players, two pilots and six others were killed. The two players, Nate Fleming and Daniel Lawson were both great guys from what I've heard. Bill Teegins, a local sportscaster was one of those killed. Losing Teegins is depressing. This guy embodied everything a sportscaster should be...funny, witty, smart, knowledgable and respected. The sports world will miss him. The crash kinda puts things into perspective. It makes the whole rivalry thing seem ridiculous.

I still haven't gotten to play with my webcam as much as I would like to. I DID take some new pics. I'll try and put those up soon.

I forgot how stupid the structure of a University was until I came back for the spring semester. I simply don't like school. Especially when teachers believe you're ONLY taking their class. And dear me...$45 dollars for a textbook that has maybe 50 pages? Ridiculous!!

I haven't gotten to play with my webcam as much as I would like to. But I should be able to later. Paul D. says he might help me with getting it up on this site.

The University held an official celebration of the National Championship yesterday on Owen Field. Pretty fun. Patrick Fletcher is a nut...obviously a real big fan as well.

Okay, so I'm slacking on the Total Orange Bowl Experience page. I'm still waiting on pics and filling holes in my story. It should be up within a few weeks...rrrrrright.

Heyo! Well, I'm back in Norman now. I forgot how hard it was to get back into the swing of things. We start the spring semester on Tuesday. So, since I've been here, all I've been doing is sleeping and getting ready for the semester. I haven't even bought my books yet! Eeeek!

My webcam is coming along well. I think I finally have a good lighting system. Maybe I'll have it up here sometime.

Alot of rumors are spreading around here about Bob Stoops leaving for the Cleveland Browns. I think it's all a bunch of hooey. If that's even a word. I would explain why I think this, but that would take time and energy. Besides I believe it will all be over in a couple of days.

We play Kansas tomorrow afternoon in basketball. They're ranked number five in the nation and we'll have to be on top of our game to beat them.

Still working on the Total Orange Bowl Experience page. I'm waiting on pics and filling holes in my story. It should be up within a few weeks.

Wow. Yes, I'm pretty speechless right now. Went to Miami to see my Sooners play in the Orange Bowl and they emerge as National Champions, beating Florida State 13-2. I had an amazing time...possibly the best time of my life.

I wish I could tell each one of you of every aspect of the trip right now, but time won't allow me to do it. But don't worry, I'll have the whole story of the trip and the game up on the site soon, chalk full of stories and pictures.

And, if you think you saw me on TV during the game...well, yes you did. My friends and I ended up with great seats in the endzone and were on TV in the 3rd quarter I believe, celebrating Ontei Jones' special teams tackle on FSU's Tommy Maddox. I've had many people already say they saw me on TV...but if you saw me on TV too, let me know!

I'll be working on the Total Orange Bowl Experience page very soon. Other than that, I'll be unpacking, sleeping and getting back into working and prepping for the spring semester.

Tally-hoo-hoo.

Well kiddies, I leave for Tulsa tonight. Friday morning we'll pick up the RV and head to New Orleans. It shall be fun.

Steve W. was supposed to leave town today. Hopefully he got out okay. I know the snow and ice was gonna be a big holdup going back to Colorado. Next military friend scheduled to come into town? Chris C. from the Marines in Cali. He should be in around February. After that, he goin' back to Cali, Cali, Cali... Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Added a link to Bryce L.'s website today. I saw him last night at the movies and he told me he was leaving for school in Georgia on Friday. Good luck to him.

Well, I'm off yo. Next time I will update will be arounf the 6th or 7th after I get back from watching the Sooners win the Orange Bowl. Boomer Sooner!

Hey guys and gals. I started the redesigning of my site yesterday. I have the basics up now.

I decided to go back to the simple site. My last site was very image sensitive. Although it was cool, it took a while to load and felt like a cluttery mess. So I go back to the basics. I hope it will be easier to navigate, more informative and representative of the real me.

Aside from all this, all is well. My good friend Steven W. was in town for the holidays from the Air Force Academy. It's always fun with Steve-o around.

I leave for the Orange Bowl in Miami on Friday. And not a day too soon. Monday, Mother Nature dumped around 5 inches of snow on us. Not just snow, but ice too. Suckie.

However, 8 of my friends and I will be heading down to Miami. Along the way, we will stop in New Orleans for New Year's Eve. I think I'm going to flash my boobies for beads. I'll make sure I post the pictures. No, not of my boobies.
