Eagle and Wreath was composed in 1983 to partially fulfill the requirements of the United States Army Warrant Officer/Bandmaster Course at the Armed Forces School of Music at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base in Norfolk, Virginia. The title is derived from the insignia worn by all Warrant Officers in the United States Army and the march was dedicated to the Warrant Officer Corps, United States Army. Submitted in 1984 to the Parade of American Music Competition, the composition received a "Three Star" rating. The march was subsequently published for full band by TBR Publications of Harker Heights, Texas. Eagle and Wreath has been performed by military and civilian bands in Virginia, Texas, California, Kansas, Alaska and Germany.
