The March began on Route 50, between the Washington Monument and the Ellipse.
A group writes on balloons to carry their message.
Tens of thousands gathered to march.
Catholic friars mingled with teens as they waited for the march to begin.
A pro-life Santa
Youth presence at the march was strong.
The police watched carefully and blocked off streets for the march.
At times, signs competed for space in the sky.
A powerful sign
As the march climbed Constitution Avenue toward the Supreme Court, people turned back to look, because they could see fellow marchers filling the distance behind them.
Displays of the bloody effects of abortion were scattered throughout the march..
The Supreme Court Building reads "EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW." The sign below reads "GIVE RIGHTS TO THE UNBORN."
