"Travel has a way of stretching the mind. The stretch comes not from travel's immediate rewards, the inevitable myriad new sights, smells and sounds, but with the experiencing firsthand how others do differently what we have believed to be the right and only way." - Ralph Crawshaw

Thanks for visiting us, Kate Maschmeyer and Diana Tjahja at our internet home. We were Rotary Youth exchange students during '96-'97 school year to the Netherlands and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to make a home page about it. :)

Being an exchange student is a truly wonderful experience. You learn so much about the host country by becoming "citizens" of the country itself. As typical of the program, we were hosted by four or five hostfamiles who were kind enough to host us and seemingly adopt us during our stay. Many thanks to them and we hope future exchanges have a wonderful time like we did.

This site is here to keep our exchange party going and to invite more people to join in. Come on and party, people! Exchange rocks! If you want to be a bit more serious, *turns the stereo down a bit* we are here to keep contact with old exchange friends and to help out new ones. So, please come on in, take off your coat and stay awhile. Feel free to tell exchange stories, ask questions, or just hang out. *turns stereo back up* Now, dance! :)
