On Aeris

Aeris is one of the most intriguing characters of Final Fantasy VII- she is fun, sweet, and mysterious. But one thing she is NOT is a good fighter. "I LOVE Aeris," you might say, "But I can't take her ANYWHERE! She is a terrible fighter." Or, you might say, "Aeris is a magic person- I take her along purely because she's awesome at casting spells. But she can't do anything else!"

Suprise, suprise- Aeris CAN be a great fighter! In the game I am currently fighting, she rivals Cloud! And this is not a fluke!!! Others have achieved the same success as I! Here are a few things If you want to make your Aeris better, look at the advice below. But it does help if you follow it from the moment Aeris joins your party.

• Never abandon Aeris! Kept fighting with her. Do not even take her out of your party until level twenty-five, or Junon Territory, whichever comes last. around level 20 or so, something kicks in and her fighting improves DRAMTATICALLY!
• Keep feeding Aeris better weapons and armor. They only help her fighting abilities, and by the time you have Aeris, gil should not be a hard thing to come by.
• Give Aeris the The Long Range Materia the second you get it. You can then move her to the back row, so that she can continue inflicting damage but recieve less herself. The Long Range Materia is great especially if you take advantage of Aeris's magic ability by putting a lot of materia on her, which means a concession in her HP.
• Gave Aeris the Power Wrist accessory if she is having trouble reaching her full fighting potential. Upping her power by 10 might give her the boost she needs.
• Increase anything that Aeris lacks through the Sources: Mind Source, Guard Source, Luck Source, and everything which raises elements of her status. However, use these sparingly. You may find that Aeris will not need them if she goes up as little as one more level.

The result? An Aeris who I vowed will never leave Cloud's side. She is so powerful that if I could choose a leader other than Cloud, she would probably be the one. In an average battle:

• Aeris scores only two less damage per hit than Cloud!
• Aeris is incredibly lucky! Within every ten attacks, she gets one of the lucky hits, in which her damage to her opponent is doubled!
• Aeris has retained her awesome magic skills!
• Aeris is still her ever-hyper-spiffen self!
