Dark Dragon Fanfic #2 - New boy at Temple

(The entire group of scouts is sitting at Rei's Temple.)
Ami: I don't know who he was Luna, he just appeared out of nowhere on
his motorcycle. I would have scanned him with my VR but I was
frozen......
Serena: He was pretty super cool though! He unfroze all of us with
one attack!
Luna: I think you should all be very careful around him right now,
we cannot be sure who he is, or if what he says is a lie.
Artemis: Oh lighten up Luna, I think he's here to help for sure!
Luna: Perhaps, but do be careful scouts.
Mina: We will!
(They all nod but Lita, Luna walks over to Lita who is sitting and
staring off into nothing with sparkly eyes)
Luna: Lita, are you feeling ok?
(Lita jumps from being startled. Then looks at Luna)
Lita: Yes, I'm fine Luna, just thinking about Dark Dragon.......
(Serena runs over behind her and talks in her ear)
Serena: I think somebody's in looooooooooooove!
Lita: I don't know what you're talking about!
(Lita laughs uncomfortably and blushes. The other girls giggle.
The group stops and looks at the steps as somebody makes their way
up the steps approaching them. The person has long blonde hair and
was wearing darkened sunglasses, as well as black jeans and a black
T-Shirt. He also had a duffle bag over one shoulder which seemed to
be quite full. There was a grey cat walking up beside him.
He approaches the group)
???: Excuse me, I believe one of you is named Rei. Am I correct?
(Rei stands and bows)
Rei: Hello, welcome to the town temple, how can I help you?
(The boy returns her bow)
???: My name is Shelby. I met your Grandpa the other day when I was
passing the temple. We had a long top and he asked me where I was
staying, which I replied to that I had just arrived in Japan that day
and I was looking for a good hotel at the moment. He said that I
could stay at the temple if I contributed with the chores. Did he
tell you of this?
Rei: Um.........no. But he's just behind these doors, follow me
and I will take you to him.
Mina: We can watch your cat while your inside Shelby!
(Shelby nods. Rei turns and opens a door behind her, then walks in,
Shelby follows her in. Lita stands up and walks by the door to watch
Shelby as he follows Rei)
Serena: Looks like Lita has another crush...........
(Serena, Ami and Mina laugh, Lita goes back to her seat and blushes
while giggling a bit along with them. The grey cat walks up to Lita,
Lita puts him in her lap and rubs his back. Meanwhile, inside the
temple, Shelby, Rei and Rei's grandpa are kneeling around a table
drinking green tea.)
Grandpa: Yes Shelby, we have an extra room open for you. You can
stay as long as you feel like it, as long as you are helping out and
paying your dues at the temple.....
Shelby: Of course, I wouldn't expect any less. I can do any type of
work you and done, I noticed the grass needed raking and the bushes
could use some trimming.....
Grandpa: Very observant, I think this will work out great.
Rei: Well, if I may I would like to be excused. I have friends
waiting for me out front. Please feel free to come out so I can
introduce you to everyone Shelby.
(She stands and bows, then walks back to the front)
Grandpa: Go ahead, run along young one, ooohahahahaha
(Shelby stands and bows, thanks Grandpa for the tea, then walks back
out front. Shelby sees Lita with his cat, then goes and sits down
next to her.)
Shelby: I hope Terato was not to much of a handful for you.
What did you say your name was?
Lita: My name is Lita. Your cat is great.....
(Terato is meowing on his back as Lita rubs his stomach)
Shelby: Heh heh, he certainly seems to like you a lot!
Rei: AHEM! Allow me to introduce everyone to you Shelby. I might
as well, you'll be seeing them a lot if your going to be staying
here.
(Rei stands up and introduces all of them. Shelby stands)
Shelby: Its great to meet you all. I'm 16, so I will probably see
you all at school.....
Lita: Depends. Serena, Ami and I go to one, Rei and Mina go to other
schools....
Shelby: Is yours close to the temple or further away...
Lita: Further away, the one near here is Rei's.
Shelby: Well, I am going to your school, its going to be nice to
have some friends already. Most people tend to fear me and ignore me
because of my fighting technique.
Lita: Really? I have the same problem, we should hang out together.
Shelby: Sure, maybe I'll see you there.
(Lita and Shelby look at the other girls which were being neglected
from the conversation. They are all just smiling and looking at them
along with Luna and Artemis. Shelby and Lita put hands behind their
heads and sigh, then start laughing. The others join in)
Shelby: Well, I'll see you at school tomorrow Lita, I hope.....
(Lita blushes)
Lita: Ya, I can't wait........I MEAN, I hope we do.....
(Shelby smiles, then stands up)
Shelby: Come on Terato, lets go see our new home.
(The grey cat licks Lita's hand, then jumps up onto Shelby's shoulder
as he walks back in the temple. He meets grandpa and picks up his
duffle bag. Grandpa helps him to his room)
