Santa
sets off to the land down under
Through
all kinds of weather snow, rain, sunshine, lightning and thunder.
Faster,
higher until it came in sight
A
tiny speck in the summer night.
Thats
the place we need to be
Down
oh Rudolf down close to the sea.
Queensland
first along the golden beaches
Dropping
gifts as nightfall reaches.
Cairns
and Townsville then onto Mackay
Scooting
over the starry sky.
Off
to Brisbane down below
This
is a change to the icy cold snow.
South
we head towards Sydney town
Passing
Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Dubbo, Canberra bound.
A
quick trip through Canberra over the murry river we do fly
Dodging
owls, bats flying though the night sky.
Wow
this is hot work the equator being so near
What
I need is a vegemite sandwich and a cold fosters beer.
Down
to Melbourne the garden state
Hurry
Rudolf so much to cover or we will be late.
Further
south Tasmania far ahead
I
hope all the kids are tucked tightly into their bed.
Next
stop was the church city old Adelaide town
This
is where the Lamington I found.
Placed
on a plate waiting for me
And
carrots for the reindeer too you see.
So
with tummys filled off we went
Over
the Nullarbor Plain to Perth the reindeer I sent.
Then
north we go to the hot, red sand
Off
the Simpson Desert and Arnhem Land.
Darwin
our last stop in Australia before I bid farewell all
The
nights still young and I must call
On
children all around the earth
So
farewell Darwin, farewell Perth.
To
all the people around the world for 2005
Merry
Christmas and stay alive.
From
the land down under
Happy
New Year
A
toast to you all....CHEERS!!!!
