Guns'N'Roses Concert Details

Well its been almost a year since the concert, seems longer. Ergo, my memory might be a little distorted. However, I do remember key points.
Kate and I were anticipating the day for a very long time...or so it seemed. Kate is a HUGE Guns 'N' Roses fan. More than me. So finally after getting tickets ($65 each isn't too cheap for poor kids like us) and figuring out the events of the day, we were ready to go. We drove to the Philly Spectrum - me, my boyfriend, kate, her sister and her sister's friend - took us about 2 hours to get there. We were afraid we were running late, but we got there in good time, and even had time to get a t-shirt or eat. Mike and I both got shirts. Then we were ready for the show. We found our seats, good view, and the opening band came out. I don't even remember who it was. But after playing for what seemed to be forever, they finally got off the stage. We were just so anxious to see GNR that we didn't care about the other bands. Then this Master Mixer Mike...or whatever his name was, came out. Basically his job was to entertain us (by ruining several classic songs and turning them into rap) while they were still waiting for GNR to show up. This went on for a while...and on..and on...We had to listen to that crap for over an hour until he left the stage. And then we waited...and waited...Two hours later people were booing and throwing things at the stage. GNR never showed up. Then a chair flew over my head, things got bad. Mike (my boyfriend) grabbed my hand and said "we're getting out of here now". Just as we made our way out, an announcement came on stating the obvious. We weren't going to see GNR that night. Furiated, we all left. Kate was very upset. We did get our money back, though. And now, even though I love the music, I hold a slightly different view of the band.
