"School Lessons There has been a great burden that has been put among siciety. That burden
is a little thing called SCHOOL.This THING is so bad that they have to
put srict force onto children into these
unconfortable situations. Well now I have another run at shool for yet another year.
It is my Sophmore year at Southern Magnet Career High School. See the Whole Magnet
Program in Jefferson County (that's where I live), is to make a 4 year course
of classes for students to take that would give them an education in any field
almost. The Magnet program that I am signed up for is Telecomunictions, mainly
just the GUTS of a computer and other electronics, but now I am really getting
into computer programing and web design. This stuff really excits me. I think that
Web devopment and design might be a career that I will look into. If there is
anyone that has one of these jobs and can give me any additional info. that
would make me most greatful. Oh I am sorry you did come to this page to read
Well I plan to have a pic of my school. I think that I can find it but I am
not all that sure. I am trying to start a new program at my school. See I was
looking up a web page about my school. Then I came across the Jefferson County
Board of Education Web page (if you want the link it is "Kentucky Department of Education")
There I was loking for the linkt to my schools page and I found other schools
that had them but I didn't see my schools. This kinda made me angry, so I e-mailed
them and them saying that I didn't find it and that there should be one, and there
should be a course at my school for computer progaming and web dasign. There within
an hour I recieved an e-mail from the department saying that they will bring it up
at the next board meeting and that it was a real good Idea. Then today (8-06-98)
I got another e-mail, only this time it was from a board executive. He gave me a bunch
of tips for me to do to start the new program and that he would refer me to someone
name Elaine. The tips he gave are as follows.

    "
  1. A website for the school should have representation from the student
    body. So, you need to start finding students (I would recommend from
    different groups) who would like to see a school website.


  2. Then, as a group, start looking for a teacher(s) that may want to
    supervise the project.


  3. Then ask yourselves, What is the purpose? Vision of project? Keep
    that vision is mind when you design.


  4. Storyboard your concept (a school website is a larger project than
    most people think).


  5. Create project teams to work on each section of the page.


  6. Continually update and revise."


Now if any one has any clues at to how I can atchieve these goals or can
