Brief History of Labo Missionary Baptist Chapel
The worship services in Labo MBM started after the baptizing of seven converts last February 4, 1998. Prior to this date of baptizing,
we had already exerted evangelistic efforts, and regular Bible studies in this area. Canapawan, Labo is the homeplace of Bro. Jonathan Vibar, a member of Lipa Missionary
Baptist Mission. When he visited his home province, he was able to share the Gospel to his neighbors who also showed interest. Since then, we started to
conduct evangelistic crusades there. On summer 1997, we were able to gather about 550-600 persons for our 2-nite crusades. Our first
baptized convert in Labo is the mother of Jonathan Vibar, the first fruit of our labors in 1997. Last February 1998 we were able to conduct a series of crusades which resulted to many
professions of faith. The first night of crusade in Canapawan plaza was attended by 600 persons. The second night was in Malibago, Labo, and was attended by 200 persons. During our crusades in Labo, there were many who stood up and came forward for decisions to
accept the Lord. On February 4, I baptized 7 disciples and these disciples made their contribution in building a simple chapel without outside help.
Since then, more baptisms followed, and the mission in Labo continues to grow.

A Prayer Request
Please pray for Brother Jonathan as he works in Labo, that the Lord will grant him more knowledge and wisdom,
and that he will be fully equipped in his service to the Lord, and that the work in Labo will continue to prosper.
