4. ANN CAIRNS: Fourth child born to James Cairns and Elizabeth
Patterson.
Born 11 Mar 1816, Berwickshire, Scotland, died 8 Nov 1897. In 1838
she married David Lunam, born 20 Apr 1810, died 3 Oct 1897.
Both buried Camlachie, Ont.
They had 12 children. Eliza, Elizabeth #1, Catherine, Annie, Katherine
& David (Twins), Margaret, Jeanette, Elizabeth #2, James, Ellenor
and Andrew.
David's name was originally LUNHAM.
After he bought his land in
Plympton, he had it registered in the Godrich, Ont., Land Office. The
registrar omitted the "H" from his name, and thus the
spelling LUNAM.
