Duff was born in Seattle and raised in a large family with 7 other kids. Duff was the youngest. His family was really musical and he picked up guitar early on. When he moved to LA, he decided it would be better to play the bass "just to get [his] foot in the door". Duff was in a lot of bands like 10 minute warning (who he recently made an album with). Slash and Steven Adler invited Duff to join their band, Road Crew. He fit in just right. Then Road Crew was invited to join Guns N' Roses. Duff had some great years with GN'R. No one's really sure whether he's still in the band, but hopefully!
