In Memory of
Patrick Hoover Whitehurst
(June 11, 1983-August 19, 1999)

This is Patrick and some friends at the military ball.

I know this isn't a good picture, but it's of Patrick and his father. It was also scanned from the newspaper.

How can you say something....about someone you treasured so dearly....someone that you have to wait the rest of your life to see again....what words exactly come to mind....I mean....all i can say....is I love you, Patrick...and you don't know how happy I will be when I see you again!!!! Well, unfortunately everyone has to go through death sometime in their life....I can't say it's ever going to be easy, but out of everyone I know that has died, Patrick's was definately the hardest to take...a young child, taken away from his friends and his family...wow...how it happened, look below....

Patrick was, and still is, loved dearly by anyone that actually took time out of their lives to get to know him. He had incredible blue eyes, and a bright cheerful smile. He enjoyed paintball, chess, and his friends. He was in ROTC, and he really loved that. He also loved talking to me in French, well, at least, i like to believe that. In our French class, we would sit and discuss so much, any secret I told him, he would never tell a soul, he was so wonderful....and none of us can wait to see him....but we shall.

This is what was left of Patrick's truck after the accident. He and Josh just took a curve a little too fast, and well, how Josh lived through that is beyond me....
