Search Tips
Here are some tips for getting better results when searching Yahoo! GeoCities home pages:
Use more than one search term. When you search for a single word, you get all the documents containing that word. By adding a second or third word to your search, you are more likely to get the pages you are looking for. For example, a search for MUD will probably give you millions of pages, whereas a search for Valheru MUD will yield fewer results and, hopefully, more of the pages you are looking for.
Be as specific as possible. Try to be discriminating in your choice of words for your search. The more specific you are, the more likely you are to find what you want.
Use an exact phrase. If you put the text you want to search for in double quotes, the engine will look for that exact phrase. For example, if you search for Florida Marlins, you might get pages on fish, but a search for "Florida Marlins" will give you pages on the baseball team.
