QUERY ON AN XML FILE
making use of JScript.
Here is an example of interrogation of an XML database (i.e. a file with xml extension). The queries are based on a DB constituted of stamps, each of them has the following fields: layout, number of colors, subject, background and words (with the attribute "place" that describes the part of the stamp containing the words). To see the DB click here--> Stamps.xml .
The result of the query is the whole database, every element of which has a new field, the distance of the element itself from the query (a distance of 1 for each different field).
