American's Forgotten
The Nation Prays
All races, creeds, religious factions
Muslim, Hindu, Jew, Christian,
Prayed for healing
The Nation of Islam sang songs of prayer
Holy Men and Women of East India were heard
American Indian prayer
Was not heard
But America
Do not worry
We will not forget you
Over 50% of the American Indian population
Has served or is serving
In the United States Armed Forces
Per capita more than any other
Race that makes up
This most beloved Country
We answer the calling America
We will not forget you
We were there beside you
When you first fought for Independence
We were your Scouts
Your Front Men
Pima Indian Ira Hayes
Raised the flag with the Brotherhood
At Iwo Jima
He did not forget his country
The Cherokee code talkers
Speaking their Native Tongue
could not be understood by the enemy
They did not forget America
We were in Korea, Veit Nam
Serving as your point men
Finding the Enemy
We did not forget
September 11, 2001
NYC Firefighters, American Indian
Sacrificed their lives
They did not forget you America
How wonderful it could have been
For the songs of Mothers heartbeat
To be heard in New York City
How healing it could have been
This is a time for Unity
We are sending our very best to
The Front Lines
We are there to defend America as
A part of the Brotherhood of Armed Forces
And like your sons and daughters
We will die
For we believe from
The deepest recesses of our souls
Our Spirits
When freedom is assaulted
Today is a Good Day to Die
We were not represented
In New York
On September 23
But our prayers were heard
By
The One God
We are Praying America
We Are Praying
Prepare for battle
We are Americans forgotten
but
We will not forget America
We are your EMT's, your Police Force,
Your Firefighters, your Soldiers
And
I thought you should know
We Are Praying
Like everyone else!
