This was the last song released from the OK computer era. It appeared on the single for 'No Surprises'. This track was recorded by Thom on mini disc at home on his piano which was out of tune. The rest of the band were apparently blown away when he brought it into the studio and played it. It was never changed. A slow melancholy song and one of my fave b-sides. Very simple lyrics which Thom probably made up as he went along but which also bear resembelence (sic) to the fragmented style of writing found on 'Kid A'. The clatter you hear towards the end of the song is Thom's girlfriend doing the dishes in the background. It's a bit loud...maybe she was trying to drown out the noise.. Very good song this tho, if you're just starting to look for bsides put this one near the top of your list.
