Hi there, and thanks for stopping by to get acquainted! My name is Rick and, although I hail from California originally, I've finally found home here in Austin, Texas. It took a lot of miles and 44 years to find it, but I wouldn't trade it for all the free advice in the world. Some of the places I've lived on the way to finding Austin are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Missoula (Montana), Seattle, Boerne and Kerrville, Texas. I've always been able to find the good in any place I've lived, but Austin just seems to embody it all. Good food, great music (this is, after all, the LIVE MUSIC CAPITAL OF THE WORLD) and an open and accepting atmosphere are all parts of what goes into making Austin a pretty nice place to live. Add to that recreational accessibility and what more could you ask for? Okay, okay, so they don't have a major league baseball, football, basketball, soccer, jai ali, mud wrestling or Frisbee golf team.
