(The Sunday Night ShockWave logo appears and as it melts into the view of the fans, "I Just Wanna Rock 'N Roll..." by Kiss starts to play as the camera pans the audience and eventually settles on Charlie Watkins and Terry Hogan who are sitting in suits at ringside.)

Charlie Watkins - Welcome everyone to Sunday Night Shockwave.  After a week hiatus, we are back with a HUGE show tonight.  There are no less than EIGHT matches on this card.

Terry Hogan - It's beginning to look like a Pay Per View.

Charlie Watkins - With Pay Per View caliber matches.  We have a number one contender match when Los Rudos takes on No Limit for the right to face the SuperUnknowns.  And that is not all as we have two... count them, TWO title matches tonight.  Bret Real gets his long awaited shot at the Spotlight Title against "Luscious" Lawrence Rhodes.  And immediately following that, we have The Vindicator defending his belt against Dreamcatcher.  It should be a great night.

Terry Hogan - And our first match showcases a new talent in the SWL, the Giant Rhino.  What a name huh?

[Scene cuts to backstage. 'Luscious' Lawrence Rhodes has just entered the arena at New Haven, Connecticut and is walking purposely.]

Terry Hogan - Here comes the champ now.  He does look ready for this match of his.

[Rhodes is decked out in fawn slacks, a matching fawn roll neck top and blue blazer. The outfit is offset by a pair of rayban sunglasses. He is also carrying a blue holdall which swings by his side. Rhodes pushes his way through a set of doors as another camera picks him coming out the other side. Rhodes has a slight grin on his face as the camera moves back as it follows him. Rhodes walks by the usual backstage paraphernalia, bits of scaffold, boxes, step ladders ... then stops dead. He drops the holdall to the ground and then turns to the camera. Rhodes slowly removes the sunglasses, folds them and tucks them neatly in his top pocket.]

"Luscious" Lawrence Rhodes - Now, Bret Real ... you've got your wish ... ME ...in a Spotlight Championship match tonight. But you think that a lucky win over Grinnin ... [Rhodes cocks his head] who by all accounts is a shot force 'ere in the SWL ... means that your favourite to take my belt. You think that a bit of attitude on your part takes you up the rankings, through me and sets you up to be the new Spotlight Champion. Well regulate this Real ... cause it ain't gonna happen.

[The camera seems to move closer in as Rhodes continues.]

Rhodes - I was there, at ringside, to see you beat on Grinnin. I have the tape ... in fact I've watch the damn thing over and over [Rhodes exaggerates a yawn] and over. Real, I even took time out to analyse you. Thirty seconds later I had to go and find me a darkened room, and guess what Real ... [Rhodes nods his head] that's right ... lie down to dampen the pain.

[At that moment a couple of dusky maidens enter the shot. They are dressed in typical attire, short skirts, short tops ... wares on display. They move to both sides of Rhodes, who turns his head looks at both girls and then smiles.]

Rhodes - You see Bret ... 'The Real Deal' [Rhodes again cocks his head, grimaces, then shakes his head] you still ain't impressed the Luscious One. You've done nothing to stand out ... to say to me ... 'ere I am, the best [Rhodes begins to use his hands to emphasis his point] goddam competitor out there, the one who will give the Luscious One the match he craves. [Again Rhodes cocks his head] In fact, as I look around ... there ain't many guys that could step up to the plate, look me in the eye and get it on. In fact Real, you blend in well with this long list of talentless, no-hopers ... Diablo [Rhodes counts out on one finger] Duncan [Rhodes counts out two fingers] McGrath [Rhodes counts out three fingers] Archer [Rhodes counts out four fingers] Rampage [Rhodes holds up his hand and exaggerates the moment.]

[Rhodes extends his arms around the shoulders of the two girls and smiles into the camera.]

Rhodes - So this is what I'm gonna do. Real ... I'll get in the ring with you, tonight ... one on one ... Spotlight Championship. The Luscious One extends his winning run and then goes and parties with a few friends.

[Rhodes squeezes the two women closer to him]

Rhodes - After I've beaten you Real, what's left? [Rhodes cocks his head] I know [he turns to smile at one of the girls] I'm gonna give all the other suckers a chance. Lets call it ... a last no hoper standing, gets a shot at the Spotlight belt match. [Rhodes smiles] . Next week ... whoever thinks they have what it takes to be Spotlight Champ ... can come down to the ring. We'll 'ave ourselves a little ol' battle royal ... winner gets a shot at the 'Luscious One'.

[The camera moves closer in on Rhodes as he smiles and the scene fades.]

Terry Hogan - Wow!  Battle Royal... Next week... for the chance to take on Rhodes.  It will defanitely be a huge stepping stone to all the new talent out there who have been overshadowed recently.

Charlie Watkins - Are you forgetting that he has to beat Bret Real first?

Terry Hogan - Fine, the winner gets to take on Real or Rhodes, but still... it's going to be huge for whoever wins that.

[Grinnin pauses for a beat before continueing]

Grinnin - Williams, nice to see you at Stargate, to bad it is the absolute worst thing you could have done little man.  BTW, i got the little man part on good authority but we'll save that for another day.  You screwed the Grinman, the most notorious man in the SWL and you think you can get away with that?  I dont think so.  As of now, you are a marked man.  I will get you back Williams, and when i do, you will feel a pain only fractional to what it was when i took your little woman away from you.  You thought things were bad when the stalker was around, hell, that is going to be a walk in the park compared to the hell that i am going to make your life now!!

[Grinnin pauses one more time]

Grinnin - The Regulars!  Well gents, seems like you all think your the top of the food chain now that you were able to control two out of three singles belts here in the SWL.  Regular Real, tonight you have a match against the sick man himself, you WILL NOT WIN!!  YOU WILL NOT CAPTURE THAT BELT AND THAT'S A PROMISE!!!

Charlie Watkins - What's this?  Is he going to force himself into this match?  I don't see any other way he can assure that Real won't win.

Terry Hogan - Or he can just interfere.  I'm sure Williams won't be a happy camper if that happened.

Grinnin - This now brings me to the puke ball of the SWL, The Kid!

Grinnin - I said shut the hell up!!  Kid, you screwed me at Stargate, i won't lie about that.  You bent me over and did it read good to.  But you know what, how can you sit there and call yourself a peoples champion when you had to take the back door in to get it?  I always knew you were ass backwards, but that was a little rediculous.  Then again, we all know you like the back door so what difference does it make in the long run anyways. Get one thing straight in your mind boy.  I will get another shot at the piece of tin wrapped around your waist.  Hell, i bloody well promise you that the next PPV will see me get my title BACK!!  You know the only way that happens means i have a plan, and i ALWAYS have a plan.  With Steph at my side, and maybe even an ace up my sleave, who knows what will happen? You don't, Williams doesn't, these moronic fans don't.  I do!  The last thing you will see at the next PPV will be the ceiling lights fading from your concsiousness because immediatly before that .... Charlie Watkins - No Limit did not look good at all in that match.  But I guess they have a long way to go until they can compete with Los Rudos.

Terry Hogan - The sad thing is that there really isn't anyone who No Limit could compete with.  They had a thing with the Brooklyn Bombers, but those guys disapeared.  I don't know about this so called "rejuvination" of the tag team division.  Maybe I just need to give them time.

Charlie Watkins - Maybe that's what you need to do.

Terry Hogan - Maybe what I need to do is take my mind off of that.  I mean, we have an amazing match coming up.  It's Bret Real versus Lawrence Rhodes.
