August 8, 1999

Terry Hogan - R.B. is going to go for The Tribulation. He's got Micheal ready for the DDT. And.... OH!

[Billy Rock nails R.B. Burns with the chair and The Eliminator goes down hard. Billy Rock picks him back up and puts his head between his knees. He lifts him up and piledrives him.]

Charlie Watkins - That's his Kingdom Come. That's the way to be a fair ref! Get a real job! You may have just hurt our champion.

[Billy Rock grabs Micheal Cage and sets him on top of a motionless R.B. Burns. He's counting. 1..2..3..]

Charlie Watkins - We've got ourselves a winner, I think.

Anna Dea - The winner of this match, and new SWL World champion, Micheal Cage!!!

[Billy Rock gets Micheal Cage up and raises his hand. Billy wraps his arm around Cage and bends him backwards.]

Charlie Watkins - He's using his finishing move, The Cutting Edge.

[Both of the two competetors are out and "The Kid" Billy Rock is standing in the center of the ring.]

Prevailing Justice 1999

[Kid levels Cage with the chair. Cage slowly stand up. Billy Rock shoulder tackles Micheal Cage.]

Terry Hogan - Rock is going for the Cutting Edge! He hits it. This one is all over.

[Lucious wakes up the ref as the Kid makes the cover. Kevin Mills counts 1........2........3]

Terry Hogan - And we have ourselves a New World Champion.

Charlie Watkins - No, that can't be. That totally was not fair.

Brian Williams - What I am trying to say is that you are not the World Champion. Micheal Cage is still the World Title holder.

Terry Hogan - No Way!

Charlie Watkins - What a turn of events!

Brian Williams - Do you want to know why? Of course you do. You cheated. You used a chair when you knew it was illegal. You purposely hit Kevin Mills so that you could put forth that plan that you had mapped out. Well, I ain't gonna let that happen.

March 5, 2000

Charlie Watkins - What the hell is going on?

[The Regulators run down to ringside and take on Cage. Real and The Kid hold an almost motionless and badly beaten Cage as The Vindicator takes shots at him. The Vindicator then takes him and brings him to a nearby table and motions that he is going to put Cage through it.]

Terry Hogan - Not the table! He's not going to survive!

April 16, 2000

"The Kid" Billy Rock kicks Micheal in the head. Now Micheal standing. Rock slaps Micheal in the face. Now "The Kid" Billy Rock standing. (........8) ]

Terry Hogan - "The Kid" Billy Rock'll be counted out.

["The Kid" Billy Rock drives a forearm into the head of Cage. Rock hits the Kingdome Come! Billy Rock goes to the ring. (.........9)(...........10). ]

Charlie Watkins - Billy Rock has won the match!

Anna Dea - The winner of this match, "The Kid" Billy Rock!!!

Terry Hogan - He didn't really WIN that. He just beat the count.

Charlie Watkins - He hit the Kingdome Come! You know that whereever this match was taking place, Rock would have won that.

Terry Hogan - He wasn't in the ring where it counts.

Stargate

[The Kid who had gotten up takes Grinnin and holds him as Brian Williams takes the chair that Grinnin hit Billy Rock with and SMACHES Grinnin over the head with it. Crowd goes absolutely WILD]

Charlie Watkins - Let's see Grinnin get up from that one!

Terry Hogan - There is no way. Grinnin is out cold.

["The Kid" Billy Rock covers Grinnin. Brian Williams makes the count…1…2…3!!!]

Anna Dea – The winner of the match, and new SWL Heavyweight Champion, "The Kid" Billy Rock!

[Opening credits]

[The SWL camera crew is lead down a hall backstage by a petite brunette wearing a pair of form fitting blue jeans and a pink tank top.  There seems to be some excitement in her step as she waves the cameras on with a smile.  They arrive at the door of The Regulators locker room.  She rapidly knocks three times and waits until the door swings inward.  "The Kid" Billy Rock stands in the doorway with shock spread over his face.]

The Kid - Nicole! (grin) What ... how ...

[Not another word is uttered before they both capture each other in an embrace.  Nicole's feet leave the ground as Billy holds her to see in her eyes.]

The Kid - I can't believe you're here!  Why didn't you tell me you were coming?

Nicole - I wanted to surprise you. (smile)

The Kid - (laugh) Do you always get what you want?

Nicole - (giggle) Of course.  Hey, I was thinking, could I come with you to the ring tonight?  I've always wanted to see my man in action. (wink)

The Kid - Oh.  Uhhh ... Babe, you know I'm happy to see you and I don't want you to leave my side, but that's just way too dangerous.  You're going
to have to stay in here.

Nicole - But, Billy ...

The Kid - No buts, Nicole.  I want you to be safe, and I can't guarantee that if you're anywhere close to the ring.  It's okay, come on.

[Billy guides her into the room and looks in both directions down the hall before closing the door as the camera cuts to Charlie Watkins and Terry Hogan.]

Charlie Watkins – Ladies and gentlemen, live from the First Union Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this is Sunday Night Shockwave.

Terry Hogan – We’ve got a show jam packed with action tonight, Charlie. Three titles will be decided, and the career of a man who’s been here since the beginning is on the line in the Hell in a Cell.

Charlie Watkins - So either we will see Micheal Cage walk out the World Champion or we won't see Micheal Cage wrestle again.

Terry Hogan - And you know that Cage will pull out all the stops to get this title in what probably is his last shot at regaining the belt.

Charlie Watkins - That being our main event of the evening, but we have more pressing issues to get to before that.

Terry Hogan - How so?  What can be more pressing then what could be Micheal Cage's last match in the SWL?

Charlie Watkins - Well, if we don't get to these other matches, we won't get near the main event tonight.  Let’s get started with our first match, a three way match between three up and comers in the SWL.

Banshee vs. "The Showstopper" Jett Jones vs. "Old School" Cyle Storm

Anna Dea – The following contest is a Three Way Dance scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, weighing in at 264 pounds, from Dublin, Ireland, Banshee!!!

[The lights go out. Green lights flash on and off and a sillouhette of a screaming face is shown on the jumbotron. A loud screech is heard and "War Pigs" by Faith No More starts playing. Banshee comes out wearing his black cloak and green tights. He walks to the rings slowly.]

Anna Dea - And his opponent, from Highlands, North Carolina, weighing in at 283 pounds, "The Showstopper" Jett Jones.

["HELLS BELLS" by AC/DC booms over the PA system-the sound echoes through the whole arena-blue,white and black spotlights pan around the fans and ringside area-the spotlights stop and the whole arena is black and then.........BOOM,BAM,BOOM-Pyro explodes from the entrance area and out walks "The Showstopper"Jett Jones-He is arm & arm with Daisy-Jett has on white wrestling trunks with blue trim and on the back in big, bold letters it says "The Showstopper" in black, he also has on a pair of chrome X-METAL Oakleys-Daisy escorts The Showstopper onto the stage as she smiles and waves at the fans-The Showstopper takes her down the ramp as he is slapping the fans hands-They walk up the steps together-Jett holds the middle rope,so Daisy can get in easy and then he jumps in-The Showstopper runs and jumps up onto a turnbuckle and more pyro explodes from the ring]

Anna Dea – And their opponent, weighing in at 236 pounds, from Keansburg, New Jersey, "Old School" Cyle Storm!!!

[The house lights dim ever so slightly, as "I'm Afraid Of American's" hits. "Old School" Cyle Storm walks out to the ring, wearing his simplistic black trunks and white boots. He shakes no hands, he cracks no smiles, he just continues towards the ring, he walks up the steps, and into the ring.]

Charlie Watkins – This should be a good one, folks.

Terry Hogan – Absolutely, we’ve got three guys striving to climb up the ladder in the SWL.

[Jett Jones starts off with right hands to Banshee. He whips him towards the ropes to a waiting Cyle Storm, who executes a Greco-Roman throw. Banshee is down and Jones and Storm each begin to stomp in turn. Banshee is backed into the corner. As Jones moves in to do more damage, Storm hits him with a German suplex.]

Terry Hogan – Never turn your back in a three way match.

[Storm picks up Jones and takes him down with a dragon screw. Banshee comes out of the corner and drops a leg on Jones. Banshee goes for the cover and Storm breaks it up with a stomp. Banshee gets up and quarrels with Storm. Jones gets up and bangs their heads together.]

Charlie Watkins – Double noggin knocker!

Terry Hogan – Now THAT’S Old School.

[Both Storm and Banshee stumble to their feet. Jones clotheslines Banshee over the ropes and hooks Storm around the side with one arm. He lifts him up high and plants him into the mat.]

Charlie Watkins – There’s the Thriller! Cyle Storm is down and out.

[Banshee attempts to get back in the ring, but is too late. Jones makes the pin on Storm…1…2…3!]

Anna Dea – The winner of the match, "The Showstopper" Jett Jones!

[Jones delivers a Thriller to Banshee for good measure. He celebrates in the ring over both of the fallen wrestlers.]

Charlie Watkins – The Showstopper ends this match quickly with his signature move, The Thriller.

Terry Hogan – I predict he’ll be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

[The camera cuts to backstage as SWL President Brian Williams and SWL anchor Dalton Fisk are conversing near Brian's office door backstage when they're interrupted by "The Kid" Billy Rock.]

"The Kid" Billy Rock - Excuse me, Dalton.  Brian, I need to ask you for a favor.  You know I have a girlfriend, right?

Brian Williams - I've heard things here and there, but I've never been introduced.  Why?

The Kid - Well she surprised me tonight by flying in.  Now I don't want her involved in any of this.  I don't want anything to happen to her.  You know the sick minds walking around the SWL.  I was wondering if you could assign a couple of guards to The Regulators room just to make sure she's safe.

Brian Williams - I will try and scrounge up some guys, but unfortunately we are understaffed as it is.  It's going to be tough to do.  But if I can't find some people to do it, I will do it myself.

The Kid - Thanks, Brian.  I appreciate it.

Brian Williams - Not a problem.

[The camera cuts back to Charlie Watkins and Terry Hogan.]

Charlie Watkins - You know that spells trouble.  Even with guards, I'd be worried about Rock's girl.

Terry Hogan - Seriously, who is going to do anything.

Charlie Watkins - There are some sick minds out there.  You never know.  Take for instance Nikita Morozov..... do I really need to say more?

"The Russian Bear" Nikita Morosov vs. Kevin Steele

Anna Dea – The next contest is scheduled for one fall. Coming down the aisle, weighing in at 250 pounds, from Treefall, California, accompanied by Melina Vantadar, Kevin Steele!!!

[As the house lights dim, bringing the arena into total darkness, a thing blue laser light begins to swirl around the crowd, and move towards the center of the ring. As it touches the tops of the ring posts in its ever smaller circle, a piano strikes a high pitched note, and fades off, as if someone had plucked a single note and held their finger on the key until it faded away. As the laser light circles smaller and smaller, soft chords on the piano begin to play simple scales. When the laser light reaches the center of the ring, it stops circling, and merely sits, a single dot on the center of the ring, and the piano flies into a flurry of scales and chords, beginning to play the theme song to the Phantom of the Opera, as the Phantom plays his lonely chords in the sewers below the ancient city, screaming his ode to his sweet lost love. After the first set of chords, the piano stops and the silence is deafening. After a couple of seconds, the laser light begins to slowly circle, followed by a deep bass sound resonating off of the walls of the arena and the piano swirling once again into action, flying over chords and melodies in its haunting ode to long lost love. Soon the laser light is circling wildly around the ring and begins to spin around the room, joined by three more, making four lights spiraling around the room in daze of movement, and a 5 string steel guitar joins the piano, wailing chords in tune playing the harmony of the song as the piano plays the melody, and the bass is thumping loudly in the background, adding a techno sound to a classical masterpiece.]

[From nowhere, a deep seductive voice rings out against the walls, as smoke begins to fill the ring area, fed by smoke machines under the ring attached to vents leading upwards. "I have come here, to find the man who can challenge me, for I have yet to be truly challenged."]

[The smoke begins to fall from the sides of the ring, and a bright pyro flashes in the center of the ring, blinding the audience in the darkness, and the house lights begin to slowly come up, and there in the ring, is a man with long dark hair, fallen down over his bowed head, a long black jacket drapped from his massive shoulders, and he begins to lift his head. Moments later, Melina Vantadar comes down the ramp to the ring and takes Kevin jacket and hat, then stands off to the side in her normal thick fluffy sweater and blue jeans.]

Terry Hogan – Come on! This is only a two-hour program!

Anna Dea – And his opponent, from St. Petersburg, Russia, weighing in at 285 pounds, "The Russian Bear" Nikita Morosov!

[Russian Natl Anthem blares as Morozov walks to the ring, chain wrapped around his shoulders and the Russian flag in his hand.]

Terry Hogan – Now THAT’s an entrance.

[The opening bell rings. The two men lock up and Steele executes a quick arm drag. Morosov rolls with the fall to his feet and the two men circle each other. Steele comes in fast and gets a thrust to the throat. Morosov hooks Steele into a tiger suplex.]

Charlie Watkins – Both men starting off cautiously here.

[Morosov charges Steele, but gets backdropped over the ropes to the outside. Steele steps out to the apron and hits a flying ax handle. Steele rams Morosov’s head into the ring post and rolls him back in under the bottom rope. He climbs to the top turnbuckle and leaps off with a flying elbow, but Morosov rolls out of the way.]

Charlie Watkins – Nobody home.

[Morosov powerslams Steele and comes off the ropes with a knee to the back. He picks up Steele and delivers a pendulum backbreaker. Morosov lifts Steele into a stalling vertical suplex and holds him up for a good ten seconds. Steele shifts his weight, however, and lands behind Morosov. He hooks Morosov around the waist and delivers a big German suplex. Steele bridges into a pin and gets a two count.]

Terry Hogan – Steele almost had the match won.

[Morosov gets up and ducks a clothesline from Steele. He counters with a reverse neck breaker. At the top of the entranceway appears Justin Arcola, who stands there watching the match.]

Charlie Watkins – One of the tag team champions making an appearance.

[Morosov taunts Arcola, daring him to come to the ring. Arcola simply stands there with his arms crossed. He points in Morosov’s direction and mouths the words, "Behind you." Steele appears from behind Morosov and rolls him up…1…2…3!]

Terry Hogan – What?

Anna Dea – The winner of this match, Kevin Steele!

[Arcola waves at Morosov and exits to the back. Morosov sprints to the outside and gets his chain. He lays it into Kevin Steele several times and wraps it around his neck, choking him out. He stomps to the back angrily as Steele lays unconscious in the ring.]

Charlie Watkins – It looks like The Russian Bear wasn’t too happy with the outcome of that match.

Terry Hogan – THAT’S putting it lightly.

(A threatening darkness shades the arena.  Seconds later a melodic chime creeps out of the blackness.  Blue and orange tints are added as white stars begin sweeping through the crowd.  And just as we hear the roaring "WHATEVER IT TAKES!!!", "The Kid" Billy Rock steps into the aisle.  He wears the SWL World Heavyweight Title.  His carmel blonde, shoulder length hair damply swings over his lightly bearded face.  The Kid remains still, settling his eyes on various fans near the aisle while a grim mood is smeared across his face.  Then, in unision with the first string of lyrics, The Kid walks the aisle while his chest menacingly heaves.  He climbs into the ring and scales one of the posts.  While there he steps on the top rope and keeps his other foot on the second.  The Kid snaps his head backward, slinging the wet hair out of his face.  His eyes slither across the arena and through the fans, then he lifts one fist into the sky for a matter of seconds before climbing down and curling his fingers around the microphone. Above the ring the Hell In A Cell cage looms ominously ... )

The Kid - (pointing upward) That's where you're going to spend the next ten or fifteen minutes of your life,  Michael.  Time that you won't be compensated for and you'll be lucky to remember after my raining fists rot your brain.  I know it's going to devour you inside when you run in every direction but can't escape the creeping loss you've managed to ignore for over a year. (nod) You think I pitched this challenge out of boredom?  Am I just picking on you?  No, Michael.  You got dues to pay.

(The Kid shakes his head "no" ... )

The Kid - Actually, you've got HELL to pay.  Hell In A Cell.  This time there's only two directions for you to run.  Toward the steel or toward me. It's a dead end either walk you take.  And when---

[The Kid abandons the sentence when the giant screen above the entrance displays the The Regulators locker room door dangling from one hinge.  Both
security guards are face down on the ground and Nicole is absent.  Billy's lips for the word "Sh*t" before he drops the microphone and darts up the aisle.]

Charlie Watkins - Now did I call that or did I call that?  And you said that nothing would happen...

Terry Hogan - I can be wrong sometimes.

Charlie Watkins – But we can't dwell on Rock's personal life the whole show.  Up next, we’ve got a match for the Spotlight Championship.

Jason "The Bandit" Blake vs. MOB Squad
SWL Spotlight Title Match

Anna Dea – The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the SWL Spotlight Championship! Coming down the aisle is the challenger, weighing in at 317 pounds, MOB Squad!

[MOB Squad makes his way to the ring.]

Anna Dea - His opponent, accompanied by his manager, "Electric" Amy Sparks, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing 218 pounds, The SWL Spotlight Champion, Jason "The Bandit" Blake!

[The lights in the arena turn a pale blue. "Move Your Body" by Eiffel 65 begins to blare throughout the arena as Jason Blake and Amy Sparks step out from the entranceway. Blake raises the belt above his head and runs to the ring, high-fiving as many fans as possible with Amy walking casually, smiling at all the fans.]

Charlie Watkins – Jason Blake won the Spotlight Title at Prevailing Justice by pinning this man. Let’s see if MOB Squad has revenge on his mind.

[Jason Blake taunts MOB Squad to hit him. MOB Squad takes a big swing at Blake and Blake ducks and attempts a crucifix pin. MOB Squad falls backward and Blake gets flattened. MOB Squad drops an elbow and goes for a pin. Blake kicks out at one.]

Charlie Watkins – WAY too early to be going for the pin.

[Both men get up. MOB Squad applies a side headlock. Blake shoots him into the ropes. MOB Squad knocks down Blake with a shoulder block. Blake gets up as MOB Squad shoots himself into the ropes. Blake hits Squad with a hurricanrana.]

Terry Hogan – These two men know each other pretty well

[Blake comes off the ropes with a senton splash and goes for a pin, but only gets 2. He picks up Squad and hits him with a European uppercut. MOB Squad stumbles backward and gets tied in the ropes.]

Charlie Watkins – Uh-oh

Terry Hogan – MOB Squad is at the Spotlight champion’s mercy.

[Jason Blake springboards to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick on Squad, who is still tied in the ropes. The impact knocks Squad loose from the ropes, but MOB Squad begins to bleed from his forehead. Blake whips Squad into the ropes, but Squad reverses it. Squad elevates Blake into the air. He lets Blake fall from a height of almost ten feet to the mat. Blake lays prone on the canvas.]

Charlie Watkins – The match has turned around in the favor of MOB Squad.

[MOB Squad sets Blake up for the screwdriver. Blake goes over top of Squad and plants him with a reverse DDT. Blake sprints to the outside and jumps to the turnbuckle. The crowd goes wild as Blake hits the Blindsider.]

Charlie Watkins – BLINDSIDER!

Terry Hogan – MOB Squad won’t get up from that.

[Blake makes the cover…1…2…3!]

Anna Dea – The winner of the match, and still SWL Spotlight Champion, Jason "The Bandit" Blake!

Charlie Watkins – And Jason Blake picks up a very impressive win over MOB Squad. Now, let’s keep it moving with our next match.

Terry Hogan – The tag team titles are on the line.

Charlie Watkins - We have just gotten word that all of The Regulators are searching for Rock's girlfriend, Nicole.  She is no where to found.

Terry Hogan - It's turning into Billy Rocks personal soap opera.

Total Annihilation vs. Justin Arcola and Ty Shun Ho
SWL Tag Team Title Match

Anna Dea - The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the SWL Tag Team Championship! Coming down the aisle are the challengers, the team of Doom and Apocalypse, Total Annihilation!

[Total Annihilation makes their way to the ring.]

Anna Dea – And their opponents…introducing first, from Rochester, NY, weighing in at 252 pounds, one half of the SWL Tag Team Champions, Justin Arcola!

[Wagner’s "Ride of the Valkyries" cuts over the PA as Justin Arcola steps out into the entranceway with the tag team title belt strapped over his shoulder. He raises his free hand in a fist over his head and waits for the brass section to kick in. He marches to the ring to the beat, both confident and determined.]

Anna Dea – And his partner, from Osaka, Japan, weighing in at 230 pounds, "The Dragon" Ty Shun Ho!

["Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns and Roses plays as a weird Japanese symbol shows on the jumbotron. An explosion of red and green go off as Ty Shun Ho walks out. He stands on the outside of the ring, tosses his belt to Justin, and flips over the ropes to the middle of the ring. He is handed back the belt and holds it with one hand as he flexes his biceps.]

Charlie Watkins – These two men have really come into their own as the tag team champions.

Terry Hogan – They may have a tenuous relationship outside the ring, but they both know when it’s time to be professional. It’s worked for them thus far; they are the champions, and despite the lack of depth in the division, they are pretty damn good ones, if you ask me.

Charlie Watkins – I didn’t.

[Out of the entrance ramp walks Nikita Morosov, slowly stalking to the ring with a purposeful look in his eye. He has his trademark chain wrapped around his shoulders.]

Charlie Watkins – What’s HE doing back here? Hasn’t he caused enough trouble?

Terry Hogan – It looks like he’s coming our way, Charlie. Make room.

[Morosov sits down at the announcer’s table and puts on the headset.]

Terry Hogan – Welcome, Mr. Morosov. It’s always a pleasure.

Morosov – Dispense with your American pleasantries, Terry Hogan. I’m just out here to observe the so-called "champions" in action.

[The bell rings and Doom and Ty Shun Ho start the match. They lock up and Doom pushes off Ho, who ends up on the mat. Doom flexes his muscles. They lock up again. Doom breaks it and attempts a clothesline. Ho ducks it and delivers a roundhouse kick to the ribs of Doom. Doom doubles over and Ty Shun Ho hits him with an ax kick to the back of the head.]

Terry Hogan – That just goes to show you ring finesse will win over power every time.

[Doom tags in Apocalypse and Ho goes to work on him with knife-edge chops. Apocalypse is backed into the corner. Ho attempts to whip him to the opposite corner, but Apocalypse holds on to the rope and doesn’t budge. He throws Ho into the corner and delivers several shoulder thrusts. He whips Ho into the opposite corner and delivers a DDT as Ho bounces out.]

Charlie Watkins – The Dragon is in some trouble.

Morosov – He was in trouble the day he took on an American as his partner.

[Apocalypse drags Ho over to Total Annihilation’s corner and tags in Doom. He holds Ho while Doom comes off the second rope with an ax handle smash. Doom applies a side headlock and goes for a bulldog. Ho slips out of Doom’s grip and pushes him off, sending him backside-first onto the canvas. Doom gets up and Ty Shun Ho delivers a flying head scissors to Doom.]

Charlie Watkins – Both men are down.

Terry Hogan – Total Annihilation are giving the champs a real run for their money here.

[Ty Shun Ho tags in Justin Arcola, who lays out Doom with a dropkick. Doom lands in his corner and Apocalypse tags himself in. Arcola meets him with a kick to the midsection followed by a swinging neckbreaker. Both men get up and Arcola leaps at Apocalypse. Apocalypse catches him and hits him with a fallaway slam.]

Charlie Watkins – Justin Arcola not known for aerial tactics.

Morosov – Or intelligence, for that matter.

Terry Hogan – He’s got to take the big man off his feet.

[Apocalypse picks up Arcola and delivers a gut-wrench suplex. Arcola gets up dazed and Apocalypse whips him into the ropes. Apocalypse lowers his head and Arcola delivers a flying DDT. Arcola picks up Apocalypse and hits him with the double underhook piledriver.]

Charlie Watkins – It’s the Arcola Driver!

[The referee makes the count, but Doom breaks it up at 2 with a stomp. Ty Shun Ho enters and clotheslines Doom over the ropes to the outside. Ty Shun Ho vaults over the top rope with a corkscrew moonsault that knocks out Doom. Ty Shun Ho quickly slides back in under the bottom rope and both he and Arcola go after Apocalypse. Arcola signals to Ho and Ho climbs the turnbuckle. Arcola whips Apocalypse into the ropes and lifts him into a flapjack position. As they are falling backwards, Ho delivers a perfectly timed missile dropkick to the face of Apocalypse. Apocalypse’s head snaps back as the rest of his body crumples to the mat.]

Charlie Watkins – Did you see that, Terry?!?

Terry Hogan – Incredible tandem offense, Charlie! I told you these two men work well together.

[The referee goes to put Ty Shun Ho out of the ring.]

Morosov – Excuse me for a moment.

Charlie Watkins – Where are YOU going?

[Morosov grabs his chain and climbs onto the apron. He slings the chain around Justin Arcola’s neck and drags him over the top rope to the outside. He waylays Arcola with several shots from the chain. Ty Shun Ho continues to argue with the referee as Morosov clears the monitors and equipment from the announce table.]

Charlie Watkins – Get out of here! Don’t do it!

Terry Hogan – Not our table, Nikita!

[Morosov drags Arcola to the top of the table and signals for the Jackhammer. Ty Shun Ho grabs the referee and points his head in the direction of what is going on. Morosov delivers the Russian Jackhammer on the table, shattering it to bits. The referee calls for the bell.]

Anna Dea – The winners of this match as a result of a disqualification, and still SWL Tag Team Champions, Justin Arcola and Ty Shun Ho!

Charlie Watkins – Our table is destroyed! Justin Arcola may be permanently damaged. My God, what has The Russian Bear done?

[Morosov stumbles up from the wreckage. Ty Shun Ho vaults over the ropes and tackles him. Security comes from the back to break up the melee. Justin Arcola slowly makes his way to the back followed by Ty Shun Ho.]

Charlie Watkins – Well, folks, I’d hate to be Nikita Morosov when the tag champions come after him. But for right now, we’ve got no table, damage to our equipment…

Terry Hogan - …and a main event to come. The Hell in a Cell!

Charlie Watkins - And Nicole still has not been found.  The Regulators are still searching for him as ordered by Billy Rock.  He won't have anyone behind him tonight.

"The Franchise" Michael Cage vs. "The Kid" Billy Rock
Hell in a Cell
SWL Heavyweight Title Match

[The Hell in a Cell begins to lower from the ceiling.]

Charlie Watkins – And heeeeeere we go. A contest that could be one of the greatest title matches in SWL history is about to begin.

Terry Hogan – These two men have one of the oldest and most heated rivalries in the history of the SWL. It’s all coming to a head tonight. Either Billy Rock loses the title…or Michael Cage will be gone forever.

Charlie Watkins – Let’s get down to our ring announcer Anna Dea.

Anna Dea – The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the SWL Heavyweight championship!

[Pop.]

Anna Dea – And…it will be contested inside…the Hell in a Cell!

[ENORMOUS pop.]

Terry Hogan – These fans are nuts; they don’t care who wins this match, they just want to see someone get killed.

Anna Dea – The stipulations are as follows. The Regulators will be banned from ringside. If any are found present, the title will be forfeited. The door will remain unlocked. The first man to score a pinfall or a submission in the ring wins the match. If Michael Cage wins, he will become the new SWL Champion. If Billy Rock wins, Michael Cage will leave the SWL forever. [The crowd cheers.]

Charlie Watkins – That seems to sit favorably with the crowd.

Terry Hogan – I remember when last year, he was their big hero. How times change…

Anna Dea - Introducing first, the challenger, weighing in at 256 pounds, from Seymor, Indiana, the Commissioner of the SWL, "The Franchise" Micheal Cage!!!

[Skillets "Locked in a Cage" begins to play over the PA system. Cage is wearing a black and red "Steel Cage" warm-up suit. He slowly walks down to the ring as the crowd boos him. When he gets to the ring, he enters through the door, jumps over the ropes, and takes off his warm-ups and awaits the ref to signal the match.]

Charlie Watkins – That could be the last time we see that man walk down the aisle.

Anna Dea – And his opponent…

[The crowd begins to buzz.]

Anna Dea - …weighing in at 243 pounds, from Little Rock, Arkansas a member of The Regulators, the SWL Heavyweight Champion of the world, "The Kid" Billy Rock!!!

["The Kid" Billy Rock steps into the entranceway to a standing ovation. He walks slowly to the ring and examines the massive structure in front of him. He enters the ring through the door and climbs into the ring. He stands on the turnbuckle and receives a huge ovation.]

Charlie Watkins – It’s easy to see who the crowd is behind.

[The referee shows the belt to Cage, then to Rock, then holds it up to the crowd. He hands it to a crewman who takes it to the timekeeper’s table. The opening bell rings. Cage and Rock circle each other in the ring.]

Terry Hogan – You can literally cut the tension in the building with a knife.

[The two men tie up. Rock applies a side headlock. Cage reverses it into a hammerlock. Rock reaches through his legs and sweeps Cage. Rock applies a step over toehold. Cage kicks him off and Rock bounces off the ropes. Cage gets up, but is taken down with a shoulder block. Rock shoots off the ropes again, but Cage takes him down with a scissors sweep.]

Charlie Watkins – Both men starting out aggressive here.

Terry Hogan – With all that’s on the line, how could they not?

[Cage hooks Rock in a waistlock and delivers a German suplex. He bridges into a pin, but only gets one. Rock gets up quickly and catches Cage with a rake to the face. He grabs Cage and tosses him over the ropes to the outside.]

Charlie Watkins – This one is getting dangerous in a hurry.

[Rock reaches under the ring and comes up with a chair.]

Terry Hogan – I always wonder why we keep those under the ring.

[Rock measures Cage and goes for his head. Cage sees it and grabs onto the side of the cage, using it as leverage to swing up and kick the chair back into The Kid’s face. A camera shot shows that Billy Rock is bleeding from the forehead.]

Charlie Watkins – The champ is busted open.

Terry Hogan – I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more blood in this match.

[Cage unfastens the steel steps and positions them on the floor near the edge of the cage. He pulls The Kid over and sets him up for a piledriver onto the steps. The Kid blocks the piledriver and counters with a double leg takedown. Rock holds on to Cage’s legs and falls backward off the steps, catapulting Cage at maximum velocity into the cell.]

Charlie Watkins – Amazing. Rock used his own body and the steps as the fulcrum.

Terry Hogan – You can call it whatever you want, Cage hit the cell pretty damn hard.

[Cage crawls to the open door and exits the cell. Rock follows him out and drags him from side to side of the cell, slamming his face into it on each pass. When they get to the far side, Rock attempts to whip Cage into the rubble that once was the announce table. Cage reverses it.]

Terry Hogan – Incoming!

[Rock takes a combination fall/dive into the wreckage and the momentum takes his head into the security railing. Blood from Rock’s forehead covers the area as the champion is obviously knocked out cold. Cage drags him on top of the wreckage and points down at his prone body, then at the top of the cell. The crowd begins to stir.]

Charlie Watkins – No. He’s not thinking of…

Terry Hogan – No Hell in a Cell match would be complete without one, Charlie. I’m outta here.

Charlie Watkins – I’m with you. (They take off their headsets and flee the vicinity.)

[Cage scales the side of the cell until he is at the top. Rock has not moved. Cage points down at Rock and the crowd comes to his feet. Cage dives off the top of the cell and plummets 20 feet to the floor. He drops a massive elbow in the center of Rock’s chest. The impact is incredible and for several minutes, neither competitor moves a muscle. The announcers come back to what’s left of their equipment.]

Charlie Watkins - Can you hear me, Terry?

Terry Hogan – Yes, I can…unfortunately.

Charlie Watkins – These headsets might be the only things still working tonight. Michael Cage has just destroyed his own body to inflict further injury on the champion.

[Cage begins to stir and emerge from the wreckage. He picks up Rock and staggers, carrying his dead weight to the other side of the cell where the door is located. He rolls Rock under the bottom rope and enters the ring.]

Charlie Watkins – This has to be it.

[Michael Cage covers The Kid…1…2…Rock gets a shoulder up as the referee’s hand is coming down for the third time. The crowd lets out a giant ‘uhwaaa’.]

Charlie Watkins – My God! I can’t believe it! The Kid kicked out!

[Cage picks up Rock and whips him into the ropes. Rock collides with referee Kevin Mills, knocking Mills out and stunning Rock. Cage comes up from behind and delivers the Penalty Shot.]

Charlie Watkins – The Penalty Shot! It’s all over.

[Cage makes the cover but the referee is out cold.]

Terry Hogan – No it isn’t over. There’s no referee to make the count.

[Cage gets up and attempts to revive Kevin Mills. As Mills starts to stir, Rock slowly stands and walks up behind Cage. He lifts Cage into the torture rack.]

Terry Hogan – Wait a minute.

[Rock slams Cage down with the Death Valley Driver.]

Charlie Watkins – It’s Kingdom Come! And referee Kevin Mills is waking up.

Terry Hogan – No! That’s not fair!

[Kevin Mills slowly crawls over to Rock, who is pinning Cage, and groggily makes the count…1…2… Cage kicks out at the last second. Rock is in shock.]

Charlie Watkins – Michael Cage kicked out of Kingdom Come! No one has ever done that!

Terry Hogan – Cage has more than that title to win; he has his career to keep.

[Cage reverses an Irish whip and Rock ends up in the corner. Cage ties Rock in the Tree of Woe in the corner and goes to the outside. He grabs the chair that originally made the champion bleed and places it in front of Rock’s face on the mat. He backs up, points at Rock, and baseball slides into the chair, slamming it into Rock’s face. The impact knocks Rock from the corner and onto the mat, where he lies convulsing.]

Terry Hogan – Right now, Billy Rock might want to consider giving up and coming back to fight another day. The title isn’t worth that much.

[Cage whips Rock into the ropes and yells "Penalty Shot!" Rock rolls out of Cage’s way, bounces off the opposite ropes, and spears Cage. Both men are down.]

Charlie Watkins – Now is Rock’s chance.

Terry Hogan – What else can he hit Cage with? Kingdom Come didn’t work; Cage is just too determined to lose.

[Rock slowly gets to his feet and a gleam appears in his blood-soaked face.]

Charlie Watkins – I think we’re about to find out.

[Rock picks up Cage and bends him backwards. He hooks Cage around the head and goes for a suplex, pausing in the middle of it, and turning it into a DDT.]

Terry Hogan – Wait a minute.

Charlie Watkins – Was that?

Both – THE CUTTING EDGE!

Charlie Watkins – Rock used his finisher from the early days of the SWL!

Terry Hogan – And Michael Cage knows exactly what that move feels like.

[Billy Rock makes the pin…]

1…

2…

3!!!

Charlie Watkins – Billy Rock has retained the title.

Terry Hogan - And Michael Cage is history!

Anna Dea – The winner of this match…and STILL SWL Heavyweight Champion…"The Kid" Billy Rock!

Charlie Watkins – Ladies and gentlemen, we have just witnessed one of the greatest matches in SWL history!

Terry Hogan - And how fitting is it that it was the farewell match for one of the greatest superstars in SWL history?

[Michael Cage gets up to his knees and stares into the blood-covered eyes of The Kid. The Kid stares back at him and, after a few seconds, offers his hand to Cage. He helps Cage to his feet and says a few inaudible words to him. The Franchise and The Kid shake hands and, for the first time, tears are seen running down the face of the commissioner.]

Charlie Watkins – We’re seeing pure emotion here from one of the greatest superstars the SWL has ever known.

[In the crowd, there is a hushed silence. Then, scattered throughout the arena, a few claps of adulation are heard. The few scattered acknowledgments slowly rise in both tempo and volume, until the entire arena is a sea of fans standing…clapping…cheering. Billy Rock raises the hand of Michael Cage and the building is nearly shook to the foundation with the applause that seems to continuously rise like an ocean swell.]

Charlie Watkins – These people are giving the commissioner a standing ovation.

Terry Hogan – And if anyone deserves it this night, it’s Michael Cage. Like him or not, he’s done a lot to help make this company what it is today; and you’ve got to respect, if not admire, his amazing effort tonight.

[Miss Brown walks down the entrance ramp clapping as the Hell in a Cell begins to rise. She meets Michael at the ring apron as he is exiting and gives him a kiss and a long hug. They begin to leave hand in hand, slowly taking the walk up the ramp, for what might be the last time. As they approach the entranceway, Cage turns back to the crowd and gives a final wave, taking in their acknowledgment. He exits through the back and the applause seems to go on forever.]

Charlie Watkins – Good-bye, Michael Cage. Good-bye…and god speed.

("The Kid" Billy Rock, realizes that his girlfriend is still missing starts to get out of the ring hurredly.]

Terry Hogan - But wait.... we aren't through yet.

Charlie Watkins - Here comes... who else, but Johnny Spades.  He's got Nicole by the arm.

Terry Hogan - We have a possibility of another match here as Billy Rock apparently wants Spades right here right now!

Charlie Watkins - Look at Rock... he is so frantic now.  Spades has him in the palm of his hand.

Terry Hogan - The way it should be.

(Spades walks slowly to the ring jawing back and forth with Rock.)

Charlie Watkins - Spades taking all the time he wants now as he has the upper hand.

(Spades gets in the ring, pulling Nicole with him.)

Charlie Watkins - Watch out now!  Nicole somehow got away from Spades.

Terry Hogan - No!  Spear by Billy Rock.

Charlie Watkins - He was right not to bring Nicole out here earlier.  He's now pounding on Spades' forehead.

(When Spades is pretty out of it, Rock stand up and goes to hug Nicole.  She hesitates and backs up)

Terry Hogan - I could have sworn that they were together, why is she backing away from him now?

Charlie Watkins - Billy looks as confused as we are.

Terry Hogan - Ouch!  Kick right to Kid's "Little Rock".

Charlie Watkins - Did you come up with that all by yourself?

(Rock falls to his knees as Spades is now back up and starts laying into Kid.)

Charlie Watkins - It's about time boys.  The Regulators finally arrive.

Terry Hogan - Wise move there as Nicole and Spades slide out of the ring before getting the worst of what The Regulators had to offer.

(Spades is laughing as they walk away but Nicole has a look of anger on her face toward Billy, even though her eyes look like they're tearing up.)

Terry Hogan - What is wrong with this picture.  I could have SWORN that those two were together.

Charlie Watkins - Well, something is going on, but it doesn't look like we are getting anymore answers this week.  For Terry Hogan, I am Charlie Watkins saying Keep Reaching for Those Stars!
