Let’s vote for our favorite idol!

Last school year, three seniors conducted a thesis regarding the qualities that the Philippine youth (or a representative group of youth) look for in presidential candidates, entitled, A Proposed Set of Criteria to Serve as a Guide for College Students in Choosing a Presidential Candidate in the 2004 Elections.

As far as they are concerned, they do not want their paper to be just another book in the shelf, whilst it is destined for oblivion or recognition. Thus, the conception of this temporal homepage---an online discussion of the study’s findings.

Herein is a condensed version of the paper, including a discussion of the study’s main problem, its limitations, definition of terms, participants, and main findings. Above all, a blog where you can freely comment to everything posted, and everything deals with the goings-on before, after and long after the elections.

REMEMBER, the contents of this study represents only one set of criteria that is representative of the participants’ personal opinions and suggestions. It does not aim to force readers to swallow it with one gulp. Rather, the researchers would like to encourage readers to criticize, chew the information then swallow, spit it if you must. If you agree with the contents, or it somehow enriches or confirms what you already know, great! If you find that you disagree with it, great! Either way, always stick to your set of principles and ideas, and view the world through the lens of these personal principles.

So, whether you are genuinely interested in this site, stumbled upon it by the slip of your finger on the mouse, you are somehow affected by all the goings-on in your society. A butterfly’s flapping wings is theorized to be capable of starting a storm. You won’t get from point A to B without some form of movement. Bodies on earth fall because of gravity. Ice caps are melting because of the greenhouse effect. You will starve if you don’t eat. You will not see unless choice dictates so. Well, you get the point…

Note: All contents have been structurally simplified from their original form.
