Cornholio Does America
"Before I go much further, I have to tell a small
story. Walt and Eric are known as Beavis and Butthead. They are extremely
goofy, and they are very much like the two cartoon characters..:) Well,
one of the big jokes around everything and everyone is when Beavis does
Cornholio. Walt has been known to go into Beavis fits now and again, especially
after large amounts of Mountain Dew or Cappuchino. The reason I'm telling
you all this is because Bren and I decided that since we were going across
the country side, that it would be pretty funny if Cornholio went as well...after
all we were "Going to Washington...we're going to score!" (A
Beavis and Butthead line). Anyhow, at various parts of our trip...one,
or the other of us would pull our shirt over our head, arms up at our sides
and proclaim, "I am Cohnholio!" it sounds silly, but it was even
sillier at the places we did this :)"
"While driving through the back roads, Bren pointed out a cotton field...I
had never seen one vefore...I thought It was pretty cool looking, and as
Bren was explaining how it looked, I said, "I want to get a piece
of cotton...right from the branch..." So...we pulled over...I ran
out of the car..grabbed 3 pieces of cotton out of the field....whipped
up my shirt, and Brenda took the first Cornholio picture and we left :)"
"Another interesting thing in Georgia...well...not really interesting,
but different I guess....there's this little town...called McRae, and in
the center of this town is a minature version of the Statue of Liberty.
It's really a hole-in-the-wall town, and I really can't figureout WHY out
of all the places there could be a stature did someone choose this town,
but they did...this was the 2nd Cornholio shot, and the first Cornholio
done with Traffic going by that had no clue WHAT we were doing :)"

"Oh, I almost forgot one of the funniest Cornholio shots...I had been
map watching, and there's this one part along the Georgia Highway where
the only way you can tell where you are is to watch for the county signs.
While doing this, I noticed what the name of one of the county signs was
and said to Bren, "Hey...we're about to enter into Butts County!"
Ugh...I shouldn't have opened my mouth, because not five minutes later,
there I was, on the side of I-20 doing Cornholio...passing motorists got
a kick of that!"
"We did get cornholio to stop at the mississippi line and take a picture
underneath the sign....we decided that either Bren or I need to have access
to a scanner so we can post all this stuff :)"
