Approximate Time: 30 minutes to 1 hour
Materials:
1 shirt
1 yard of broad ribbon in same color family
thread in same color as ribbon
sewing machine
needle
Procedure:
1) Hold one end of ribbon on one side of the shirt at the bottom so that they are parallel. Be sure that the ribbon is on top of the shirt. Do not overlap too much, but overlap enough so that you have enough space to sew the two together.
2) Sew them together until you reach the beginning of the ribbon, where you began. When you are close to this spot, keep the ribbon as parallel as you can to the shirt, but be sure that it is aiming down to cover the beginning of the ribbon. When you get to that spot, be sure to sew a centimeter on top, so that you are sewing two ribbons and a shirt together to bind it.
3) Take the needle and put a little bit of thread on it, about four inches long. Sew both parts of the ribbon together where it shows in the third picture.
