Never the Perfect Size!
Media has influenced teenage females to hate their body. They want to be skinny like the models they see on tv and in the magazines, or they want to be skinny like the celebrities they see. We're all either too fat or too skinny. You always want to be like that pretty, popular girl in your school that all the boys drool over. So those that are too fat go on diets, try Subway for all they can, check out Jenny Craig, buy Slim Fast, start doing crunches, whatever they can. And those that are too skinny try to eat some pizza or ice cream.
I'll give you a secret - you don't have to be a certain size to look good. You just have to love yourself. I mean, you should exercise to stay fit, but that doesn't mean you have to be skinny. Have a lot of pride in yourself. That popular girl has guys drooling all over her because she loves herself - she loves her body, she loves everything about herself. That self-confidence shines through, and everyone thinks she looks pretty because she does. It all starts with you.
Never try to be as skinny as those skinny models. I've seen what they do. The model goes on camera, and they take pictures. Then they take the pictures and go on the computer and adjust it so the model looks flawless and skinny. They tilt the angle and the model looks skinnier. They change everything and the model is perfect. BUT IT'S NOT REAL!!! You cannot aim high and try to look like something that is not real. Models aren't as skinny as you may think, and without any makeup, they look totally different!
Besides, who careswhat others think? All that really matters is what you think about yourself. The opinion of others doesn't matter. Your world does not revolve around them. You only look good for yourself. And your personality weighs more than your looks. People who know a girl with a pretty face who has an awful personality makes that girl look ugly in their faces. A person with a not-so-pretty face but with a beautiful personality looks beautiful in the eyes of other people. Looks aren't everything. I know this sentence is trite, but looks seriously aren't everything. You want someone to love you for you, not for what you look like.
Do me a favor, and repeat this sentence to yourself every night before you sleep (and actually believe it): I am beautiful inside and out.
