*His Poem*

This poem is dedicated to it's inspiration.
I love you infinitely, sweet soul.

When I look in your eyes I see blood, sweat and tears.
I see love, hurt and hatred from unforgotten years.
When I hold you in my arms I feel you tremble with pain.
All from the memories of those you've seen slain.

You don't know how much I wish to wash it away.
I give you my love and let come what may.
I know your heart beats with sorrow.
Please let it all go, on the dawn of the 'morrow.

You wish for an end, though there's none in near sight.
You wish for an end of this uncomprehensible fright.
I wish to see your inner light shine . . .
For the vision of your love and tenderness to combine.

I'm at a loss for words now, not sure where this is going.
The stream of your tears is gradually slowing.
I'll kiss you softly and hope for the best
As I send you off for some most-needed rest.
