*Mirror*

So often we seek that which tells us not the truth.
But none so often as the mirror.
Why look to that which tells us not the unbound truth?
A reflection gives us nothing.
We see gray eyes upon the melancholy face.
The mirror is not what's grand,
but rather what is reflected by the reflection.
Behind those gray eyes and low expression
a broken soul is found.
We shall not rely on that which lies
but rather on our hearts.
