*The End*

Time was short, Life seemed so long.
You thought you were immortal
But you were wrong.
Yours was the greatest love I'd known
From the time I was small until I was grown.
To hear your voice and the sound of your words
Was as heavenly as the singing of the birds.
This went on for a while
But you became rather docile . . .
One day I came to see you
You weren't doing so well.
Suddenly my heaven turned into hell.
My perfect family, all in a day
Quickly vanished. It all faded away.
One night I said goodbye
Not even wanting to cry.
For I had the faith
That you would pull through.
You became silent
I was frightened,
My faith was growing dim,
Life felt like a sin.
"No news is good news"-the old cliché
"No news is bad news" is what danced in my head.
I soon found my fate,
That it was too late.
I would never speak to you again.
With your last heart beat
And your final breath
I knew it had come,
My enemy-Your death.
No one can hold your title
And mean it so true
YOu were my Grandpa
And I loved you.
