Wilmington - Dawson's Creek Locations
Okay, here's the first traces of Dawson's Creek in these pictures. You're getting excited aren't you? C'mon, just admit it! I know you are! You may not recognize these "landmarks" from the show so I'll try and explain their significance.
Well, this first picture doesn't actually have a famous landmark in it, but it's a cool picture and it's really close to a famous setting. The next picture will show you what I mean.
The other night I saw a bit of Dawson's Creek and the character Pacey was sitting on a bench, which would be right behind Kerri who's took this picture, and this was the view behind him. The first picture where we were on that dock would be just a couple of feet to Kerri's right.
Here we are, actually sitting on the bench. Wow, the same bench they used to tape. Pretty exciting, eh? Okay, so we were just resting because we were tired. It wasn't until after we got home that we found out that this bench was famous.
This is the Deluxe. It's a restaurant that's right downtown. If you go about a half of a block to the right the street ends at the dock where the bench we were sitting on was. This restaurant is the cast's favourite place to eat, and the two guys used to live above it, until crazed fans started stalking them that is.
Here's Screen Play Video, the video store where the two male characters work on the show. This is the building they use for the exterior shots.
The Ice House. That nice little restaurant where Katie Holmes' character Joey works. In reality none of them would be allowed in it, and neither were we considering that it's really a bar. Go figure.
Here's the school that they use for the exterior shots, or at least that's what we were told. When we were at Screen Gems we saw this big plaque thing that they put outside the school with some bushes around it. It says Capeside Highschool, so when you see it next time, remember that it's just a prop they put there.
As you can see in this picture it's actually called New Hanover High School. We decided to stop and get our picture taken here. There's me, and Kerri, and oh look. Matt's frolicking again. Can we not try to end off a page just once without him frolicking?
