If you want to know some things about me, then you're in the right place

Stuff about me:

I was born on September 7, which makes me a Virgo. I was born in the Year of the Goat (1967), according to the Chinese Horoscope. hmnn.....my mom is Vietnamese, and my dad is mostly half Filipino and half Caucasian.
I did my undergrad at  UC-Berkeley (Cal), majoring in Asian American Studies and History, with a minor in Ethnic Studies.

I graduated from New England School of Law in Boston. Here's where it's at on this map , (where the 'x' is).  It's a great little law school, except that there were no facilities beyond classrooms and a library, so in order to do a lot of things such as exercise or eat we have to go into the neighborhood around the school.  The school itself is right in the theatre district and about a five minute walk from Boston's Chinatown, and also very near Newbury Street and Downtown Crossing.

Working over the years.

In addition to the information on my less than current online resume, I'm currently working for Mass Mutual. and plan to go into Estate Planning. I've also done work with the S.D. Public Defender's Office and Greater Boston Legal Services, I still teach tennis on the side now and then also.
Throughout my life I've have had lots of "little" jobs. I worked at a video store, Rockridge Video, (now out of business) near Oakland;  helped with security for events at Cal (via the ASUC Builiding Manager position), taught tennis (City of Albany and many tennis camps), worked at CALPIRG in Berkeley for one summer, worked at Bookstar (part of the Barnes and Noble Family--just for X-mas), and worked at a toy store, Imaginarium, (another X-mas job, good fun!!!).

A lot of the jobs I had was part of a conscious effort to find interesting and fun jobs at X-mas time, so I picked places i'd like to work.

Future employment plans:

Ideally I would like to go into Immigration Law, Estate Planning, and Family Law. I'm also interested in non-law careers such as financial planning, teaching, or perhaps opening my own business. Whatever happens I hope that i'll get a job that will do some good for the people that generally need the most aid.

One interesting place to get ideas of what I could do with a law degree is at the progressive directory.

Stuff I like (and like doing):

I like penguins.....  But I should probably start with food like ice cream, and  chewy foods like cake without frosting--I like food in general but specifically spicy foods,  seafood, and good (ie. non-creamy sauce pastas like aglio y olio).
Thai food, good Italian, Korean food, most Vietnamese food, and the tacos you can get in Tiijuana are among my favorite kinds of foods.
I also like sports,  When I was younger I played soccer a lot, actually I played soccer for close to twenty two years. I played tennis in college at Berkeley, but now I play mostly basketball, boogie board, and play some volleyball now and then. Actually now I'm starting to play a lot of tennis again.

I like going dancing with friends at different clubs and bars. I probably do this far too often, but it's fun. I'll also go to cafe's when it's cold out or I feel like reading for fun or just to hang out with some friends. I like to read when I have time. now in law school.

I also like watching cartoons when I find the time. Animaniacs (especially the Chicken named Boo, the kid that comes out of his house and talks fast, and Pinky and the Brain), and the Tic are my current favorites. Add Batman Beyond to the list now also.

Other stuff I like include browsing used bookstores,  travelling,

  Hawaii   San Diego

Or San Diego

The San Diego and Hawaii links will give you a current view from those places! (if they're working properly or at all anymore)

Some Music   sites for some  dance and  Techno (acid house)

Some of my  favorite actresses include Sophie Marceau, Audrey Hepburn, Marissa Tomei, Winona Ryder, Joey Lauren Adams from "Chasing Amy", Zhang Zhi Yi (from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"), and Kirsten Dunst (from "The Virgin Suicides").

Still good stuff:
-Ice Cream (or Ben and Jerry`s lowfat frozenyogurt, Cherry Garcia) -- still good but are there anymore Ben and Jerry stores still?
-Spicy Foods (especially Thai or all those Korean side dishes)
-Aglio y Olio pastas
-a goodclub beat
-cafes with a good friend
-dancing til dawn
-the smile of a beautiful woman
-that part of the morning whenthe world is still "blue"
-sometimes when it`s so quiet that you can actually hear yourself again
-my "guilty sins" of watching Buffy, Xena, and the Simpsons. Also like X-Files,most of the sci-fi stuff.
-Pinky and The Brain (if I can find it anywhere on tv anymore).
-experimenting with trying to cook new stuff (and getting a friend to eat any mistakes).
-the feeling of draining a three to end a pick-up basketball game.
-Playing tennis again after not playing for close to 10 years.
-Having your opponent do his best and still beating him.
-Meeting someone who`s comfortable enough to be themselves.
-Sharing a really good laugh.
-Sharing a really nice kiss.
-seeing results from working out.
-remembering something that brought you joy after you had forgotten it for so long.
-Seeing the beauty in anyone is good, but even better when they`re able to see the beauty in you also.
-Substance over style always. Both if possible.
-Tasty food in general is always a good thing.
-The Village in NYC
-Roberto`s and Alberto`s in San Diego (but harder to find the real ones now)
-Pho in California
-Spicy Tuna Rolls
-Montmarte area in Paris
-Picadelly Circus area of London
-A Hong Kong movie theater
-New fallen snow, how soft and elegant it looks -- too bad it`s so damn cold and you have to shovel it.

Some stuff that`s not good: -people into image over substance, then complaining when the illusion is revealed
-Fake people
-re-runs of a show you`ve been waiting to watch all week
-falling asleep when studying the night before for a big test or an important case preparation.
-writer`s block
-bad food, especially if it costs a lot
-songs that play 30 times a day on all the radio stations
-people that are so full of attitude that they can`t tell when you`re really trying to be nice to them.
-procrastinating, too much
-being too negative....
-People who are so busy trying to be different, that they`re all actually the same, and none are really themselves.
