Since the launching of this page in 1997, I've received quite a bit of traffic. That surprised me for the first bit, but I've gotten used to it by now... Along with all this traffic, I've received several emails. Usually they request information about SweeTARTS that only diehard fans know; others just thank me for doing them a great honor by puting this page on the web. Pretty cool, huh? Anyway, listed below are a few examples of the correspondance I've received:
SweeTARTS have been my favorite candy ever since I was a little girl (I am now 48! ). I was eating some just last night. The purple ones are by far my favorites. I have spent a lifetime seeking out purple SweeTARTS. In fact, I just put SweeTARTS into a search engine, looking for a way to contact the manufacturer to see if I can purchase purple only SweeTARTS. The search engine lead me to your site. It's great! I had never noticed about the SweeTARTS logo being lower case/upper case. Interesting. Did you know that back in the 60's they made giant SweeTARTS ? So big that there was one per package.......they were about one inch by one and a half inches......they looked like giant aspirin.Naturally, I bought the purple ones only. What heaven that was.Well, it gives me great pleasure to know that SweeTARTS are so beloved that someone made a website in their honor. Thank you.I now plan to click through to candydirect from your site.
I found your page when I was looking for stuff on my FAVORITE candy ever for a speech I had to give in speech class. For my speech I'm selling SweeTARTS. So I went out to buy all the different kinds I could find. I was suprised when I looked at your website....I have honestly never seen the Christmas Trees ones!! i guess i've been deprived!!:(:( I'm gonna definenetly look for them this year. I wanted to tell you that I really like your website and was suprised that there was a fan website about SweeTARTS. I LUV THEM SOOOO MUCH. they have been my favorite candy for who knows how long. I swear i eat them every day....after lunch from my school store. My favorites are BLUE and PINK...then green. I don't really like yellow and orange..but i still eat them...:) ANd the same with purples. Me and my friend usually trade each other purples for blues and the other way around..haha! ANd i eat them soooo fast....the package is usually gone in 20 minutes...or less. Do you like the little SweeTARTS that come in rolls in a bag??? oh yeah..how old are you?? Oh yeah...and i wish they could have bulk seperated SweeTARTS and i would just get blue, pink, and green:) my fav. of all is blue!!!! just wanted to say how much i liked your website!! GODO JOB:)
(note from Britney: I'm 17 and boy do I wish MY school store would sell them!)
I was so thrilled to see a website about SweeTARTS. I love SweeTARTS also. I have had a crazy obsession with them since I was a small child. In high school my first car had the lisence plate "SWTART".
(note from Britney: wow, awesome license plate)
I'm Michelle, a 35 yr old mom in London, Ontario Canada (eh!)...and I could hardly believe that someone had a webpage for these things! lol They have to be my favorite candy from childhood. I can remember in my teens being able to buy these huge ones that came in a clear package, one to a pack...they were roughly 2 inches in diameter. I would eat these long past developing canker sores on my tongue and roof of my mouth! (hehehe) I haven't seen the big ones for a while, but Ialways get the long roll of them at the corner store and enjoy every last one...no sharing these babies for me! Anyways, just thought I'd share! Enjoy your SweeTARTS!
