First, I have to make a little
disclaimer. Nestle, the maker of SweeTARTS,
is in no way responsible for any claims or representations on this webpage.
I am simply obsessed with these little circles of sugar. Also, I am not
endorsing the use of this product to go on a hyper-binge. I just simply
choose to do so.
Also, I am going to point
out a few curious details about SweeTARTS.

SweeTARTS
were
created in 1963.

Have you ever noticed that that
on the label (see above) the 'Sweet' is lower case and the 'TARTS' is all
caps? Read more about it in the legal battle
Sunmark had with the makers of Ocean Spray fruit juices.

They always leave room in the
package for one more candy. For what purpose could this possibly serve?
It's a deliberate gimick to make us think we're getting more!

One of the more obvious things,
there's only one 't'.

The flavors of SweeTARTS
are cherry (pink), grape (purple), orange (orange), lemon (yellow), lime
(green), and tropical punch (blue).

A few decades ago Sunline made
candies without the 's' on the front in Halloween candy packs.

The blue (and by far the best)
SweeTART
was
added within the last decade or so. And I am so glad they did!
My love of SweeTARTS
started several years ago on one of our annual trips to San Clemente. John,
Britney,
and friend Chad
each bought a roll of this delightful candy and decided they were very
good. The next day more rolls were bought and quickly eaten. What was just
a coincidence soon turned into a tradition and later, obsession.
