In 1995 the City of New Kensington Fire Department lost a Brother in the line of duty.Our thoughts are with you Eric Mangieri.

This is the Monument in front of New Kensington Fire Dept. #4 Where Eric Mangieri was a member.
The Fireman's Prayer
When I am called to duty,Lord,wherever flames may rage,Give me the strenght to save some life;whatever be it's age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late, or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout and to quickly and effectively put the fire out. I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me to quard my every neighbor and protect his property. And if according to your will I have to lose my life, please bless me with your protecting hand , my childern and my wife.

I know they are not state of the art equipment but they do the job they are supposed to do!
Don't forget to check the batteries in you Smoke Detectors! As a rule of thumb you should change them every 6 months. When you change your clocks change your batteries!!
