Your head lays soft upon the pillow
I watch you as you sleep,
the sun lighting upon your hair as the new day breaks.
My picture of solice your face is to me..
so calm and peaceful
I pull the covers back and look at you lying there in your slumber.
Your hair draped across your pillow and shoulders.
Eyes dart too and fro and I wonder what you're dreaming of..
but I know it is of our love that you think on.
The smile on your face gives you away.
The gown you wear drapes across your skin,
I know you feel warm and cozy at it's touch.
It follows the curves of your form so perfectly,
hugging you as I would if I were your gown.
Your serenity calls to me, your body and skin speak to me
reminding me of the unity we shared the night before.
When our two hearts struggled as one and met for the first time together,
embracing one another deeply, truly.
I love you so much I can't contain it when I am with you,
it flows from me like a river surging forward.
I bend and kiss you softly.
Your lips still warm and soft,
they consume my soul at the very touch of them to mine..
I fall into you, your eyes open and in them I see all I need..
In them I see your soul and feel the love pouring forth to me.
You need not say a word..
for from your eyes I have heard all I need.
They speak "I love you" to my heart, and I am whole.
