Hello, and welcome to Icy Lock's Pokémon Trading Card Game theme deck idea list. This is where I put new ideas for theme decs for Pokémon TCG. You can use the above select box to jump to a specific deck.

Here is an example deck format, for the Cards box:


PLEASE! Follow this format and use the ENTER key! I will post it, but it's harder if you do not follow this format.
Here are some tips for decks:
1. Try to have about, if not exactly, 60 cards. NO MORE!
2. Try to have enough energy, but not too much. Usually 1/4 to 1/3 energy is good, IE. 60 cards total, 15-20 energy. Although I like to go for 25-30 in my 60 card decks (5/12 to 1/2), so I can get more energy. This is good if you use few trainers.
3. Try not to mix more than 3 types, not including colorless. In other words, have at least 2, but no more than 3 types, such as fire-water, or fire-water-grass. Having fire-water-grass and a Pidgey in there counts as 3 types, since Pidgey can use fire, water, or grass energy.
4. Don't go over 4 of any card except energy. Double Colorless is NOT an energy cards in this case, it is a card that acts as energy. You can only have 4 double colorless.
5. 2 Jungle Pikachu and 2 Base set Pikachu is still 4 pikachu, you can not add any more of either. This is an example to show you that the same card from a different set, or edition, is still the same card. 6. Colorless energy can only be used as colorless energy. An attack that needs 2 grass energy can not be used by substituting a double colorless energy. But an attack that takes 2 colorless energy can use 2 grass energy, etc....



Here are abbreviations you may use for energy types. They will be posted as is.

(G) Grass
(P) Psychic
(Fr) Fire
(Cl) Colorless

Also, you may use abbreviations for the card edition. These are to be placed after the card's name. No symbol means interchangable. They are:
(B) Base [no symbol on card]
(Jun) Jungle [flower symbol on card]
(Fos) Fossil [claw on card]

Description: This deck was origionally built with the base set cards. Try different editions of cards. The object of this deck is to paralyze, remove energy from, or do multiple hits to the enemy Pokémon. I rate it a 7.3, as most decks can be destroyed with this combo, but a grass- or lightning-Fighting deck can do some massive damage.




HEAT OF BATTLE

Description: This deck was origionally built with the base set cards. Try different editions of cards. This deck combines fire and fighting Pokémon. The fire Pokémon, even unevolved, do massive damage and have large ammounts of hit points. The fighting Pokémon have high hit points, but don't do much until they evolve. The Clefairy Doll allows you to take a break one turn to evolve a Pokémon and fuel it up with an energy card. The Pokémon take a lot of damage before they need to be healed, so only Super Potions are used. This deck is for those who want to do massive damage as fast as possible. Of course, since you can't heal too many times, I rate it a 6.




LIQUIFIED

Description: This deck was origionally built with the base set cards. Try different editions of cards. This deck uses only water Pokémon, but has a mega load of energy. Also, Gyarados is very powerful. Poliwag, Poliwhirl, and Poliwrath can do extra damage if you have energy cards or if a coin lands on heads. The small selection of Pokémon is made up for with 11 trainers that heal your Pokémon and 4 defenders. It is posible to get 4 Magikarp in play, evolve them into Gyarados, and have 2 Poliwag, which both get evolved into Poliwhirl and Poliwrath. Of course, being so easy to beat with a good lightning deck, it gers a 5.

Description: Well, since most of your Pokémon can use any type of energy, you should have no trouble in that department. Chansey happens to have a super attack (Double Edge), Dragonair can do 30-60, or 20 and knock off an energy card, Farfetch'd can always do 30, Rattata and Raticate have Bite (moderate, does 20), Raticate has Super Fang, which kills off 50% of the opponent's HP, and Porygon is just there. Well, the Psy pokémon could do some damage to a strong Pokémon with Psy weakness.

1. I know, "Where the hell are you"

I know, "Where the hell are you"
*Sighs* Well, long long ago, I was getting many decks and many hits here. I was lazy at updating. Guess what. Juno died, and I lost all decks. I just dropped off. That was it.
I'm trying to get my father to get me a homepage that will let me do perl scripts. If I can, I can automate the process of adding new decks.

I've been away
Yes, I know, I've been gone for a while. I have made no updates. Well, I will...sometime.... I have 10 decks to add. Sorry I've been gone for a while, I've been working on school, and my computer. I made a RAMDrive in my Config.Sys, using Microsoft's RAMDrive.sys. Check it out on my RAMDrive page.
