My interests are many but these are some of the main favorites. I couldn't list all of them because when I sat down and thought about the things I love like the beach, bowling, spending time with my friends, and Disney [I'm a huge fan of the characters and theme parks.] just to mention a few, it would be too numerous to mention. Basically I love being outdoors and when the moment strikes me there is no telling what I will venture to do.

Golf, golf, and more golf! Yes, you guessed it. I LOVE golf, absoLUTELY! I began playing in 1997 and to date my best game is a 102 on a par 70. Not bad considering. I bought my clubs not shortly after I began taking lessons. I would go to the driving range almost daily since I was working from home at the time. I used to live in Maryland and am now living in Florida. You know what that means. Yup! Golf courses at my front door.

Gardening has always been a passion of mine and I didn’t know it until I realized how comforting it makes me feel. Indoor and outdoor plants, it doesn’t matter. I used to have a dieffenbachia, or more commonly referred to as ‘dumb cane’, and had to give all of the offspring away. I grew this plant from a tiny one and it bloomed for me for over 15 years. Needless to say I didn’t want to give them away but I did keep the original that ended up dying because I didn’t take care of it too well when I arrived in Florida.

Music! Undeniable that this is/was the first and longest of anything that I have endeavored to do. I grew up in a household of music, although you’d never guess. My mother played drums in high school and sang most of her and my life. I started off on the guitar, worked my way through the piano, and finally settled on the alto saxophone.

I love jazz music and will go anywhere to listen and soak in the atmosphere. It’s about all I listen to aside from the occasional classical or blues tune or maybe a Shania Twain song. She’s about the only country singer that had me sitting up taking notice. I am more an instrumentalist probably because I played an instrument rather than use one as in my voice. Some of my favorites are David Sanborn, Sonny Rollins, Jean Luc Ponty, Michael Brecker, Michael Franks, Billie Holiday, Diana Krall, my goodness the list is endless.

Books are just about the best resource I believe there is aside from human communication. I love to sit down with a book that grabs my attention for endless hours of relaxation. There are several authors out and one notably that contained my attention span at a time when I was commuting was John Grisham. The authors are too numerous to mention but such notables like, Maya Angelou whose poetry inspires many need be recognized.

Computers, although my given profession, have advanced over the years beyond my belief. With internet development it's difficult to stay away but when I get burnt out I take a break and am guaranteed something new to learn upon my return.
