HOW CAN LOVE BE CRUEL

How could you say you love me
If you really didn't mean it?
That's how I feel at times,
like I don't fit, like you don't love me.
Cause if you did I wouldn't hurt so bad.
Then again, that's what love is all about,
right, feeling sad?
You know I keep on falling,
just falling in love with you.
We say our goodbyes and become friends,
but always seem back together,
me back in love with you all in the end.
I guess we break up to make up
and then I'm hurt all over again.
How can love be cruel?
