A Little Child Upon My Knee
by Becky
(C) September 19, 1998
A little child that came to me
Begged to sit upon my knee
I picked him up and help him high
Upon my breast so he could cry
His heart was broken cause you see
The love he yearned for was not to be
He was born by errors made
Two young children had disobeyed
And met to consummate their love
They had thought from up above
But their senses too strong to halt
Had created but not his fault
A little child that came to be
As he sat upon my knee
I wrapped him up within my heart
And swore to him I'd never part
Or leave to let him cry again
For the love that had never been
And that little boy to this day
Has never been too far away
For he is mine to love you see
My little grandson upon my knee

A Little Piece Of Gold
by Becky
(C) September 19, 1998
In the modern world of today
Many temptations are there to sway
the young ones in the door
that step through to explore
The wonder of first love they see
not the dangers that can be
around the corner, cause the eyes
they are blind to the lover's lies
that pour out of lips that smile
and kiss away old warnings while
you lose that wonderous piece of soul
That was given for you to hold
The little nugget of gold that has lain
for someone special to come and claim
In its entirety a gift, it is said
Offered upon the marriage bed
A virgin's gift that only she can give
To the loved one that come to live
In her heart to have and hold
Where is that little piece of gold
If a piece of gold have you
and you chip away a few
flecks each day to give and then
you will have nothing in the end
So hold on to that gift of love
that was given from above
Till that special one appears
Hold ontight to it my dears.
