Diana Gabaldon has got to be the best author in the whole world (in my humble opinion)! Her characters come to life to the reader and seem as if they actually LIVED to do the things that they did.
Unfortunately, the books that you see above are the only books that Diana has written (except for another special book on different Scottish lore). It also takes her at least a year to finish one. As you have probably imagined, a book that takes a year to accomplish is very large in size. That is what drew me to her books in the first place. They are HUGE!
The imagery, the attention to detail, and how she develops her characters make her books a wonderful read.
