The Otak Hi-Tea Par-Tea was held at the swank Sheraton Imperial Hotel's Botanica Brasserie on Mothers' Day, Sunday 9 May 1999.

The occasion? Otak was back in Malaysia for a vacation ...... so we thought "Why not?". After all, most of us have never met Otak in real life before.

Our reliable regulars from Melaka, shyshy and Tyreman were present. TungKua and ces travelled all the way from Johor. Razorman endured a long and tiring bus ride from Singapore days earlier. Notysush|, Dior / luilui and gwennie represented the regulars from Penang. The rest of the gang were in the neighbourhood !

It was suppose to have begun at 12.00 pm, but by 1.00 pm, the Guest-of-Honour was still nowhere in sight (rumour has it that he was around town shopping and picking up babes). So we abandoned protocol and surrendered to our hunger pangs. U should have seen the stampede to the buffet spread !

Anyway, Otak finally turned up ........ and realised his watch was still in the Canadian timezone  :oP  ( just joking ! )
