The reason for this shameless tribute? The most amazing and original show of all time. This is just my opinion of course...but I have never had a show capture me in the way that Ally McBeal has. I literally can never miss an episode, not even a rerun! Never in my life have I liked a show so much. O.k., enough about me...on to Ally.
I have been trying to find a midi of the theme song by Vonda Shepard, but haven't been able to come up with one yet. If you know where I can find one please let me know, I'd like to play it in the background on this page.
As a woman, I have to say, I totally relate to Ally. I've had that feeling of arrows shooting threw my heart, that feeling of my face burning because something unbelievably embarrassing happened. I've even imagined a big foot going in my mouth after I've said something totally ridiculous! Who hasn't really? Ally shows us that its o.k. for these thoughts to run through our minds...its o.k. to think "crazy". Thank goodness most of us don't make as big of fools out of ourselves as Ally does!
For those of you wondering where the heck you've seen that woman who plays Ally before...her name is Calista Flockhart. She has won several awards for her performances on Broadway. I remembered her from her appearance in "The Birdcage". Oh, this is for my hubby...she was born in Iowa.
And who are the other cast members? Well....
Billy Alan Thomas is played by Gil Bellows.
Richard Fish is Greg Germann.
Georgia Thomas is played by Courtney Thorne Smith (Yes, from Melrose Place fame...she chose correctly eh? hehe)
Renee Redick's part is played by Lisa Nicole Carson.
Elaine Vassal's character is portrayed by Jane Krakowski.
and John Cage is played by Peter Macnicol. (who I remembered from Ghostbusters 2.)Ally McBeal shows on Fox at 9:00 eastern, 8:00 central times.
